Guys. No joke. This is my best hotel experience ever, ANYWHERE. Other than the fact that the location is VERY near to a bus stop & a major station in Kyoto, the rooms are also nice & spacey (wide enough for families/group of friends with more than 5 group of people). The staff here are also very friendly, and welcoming. Their hospitality is TOP NOTCH. What's more, 90% of the staff here also speaks VERY good english, since they are also mostly foreigners. Which is very helpful because Japan could be hard to navigate for people who speak ONLY english and not a single bit of Japanese... Btw once again the staff are super adorable. I got to have a long talk with one of them, and she praised my Japanese. The other receptionist also helped me get their (very attractive) trainee's social media when he wasn't on shift the next day. PLUS they even helped my sister write a letter to him by giving her colored pens, envelope, paper, AND EVEN AN INSTANT POLAROID TO TAKE A PICTURE WITH 😭🫶💕✨️ They also gave us a bonus polarid photo of the 3 of us 🥺🥺🥺... Here's a picture of how it turned out >,<

While our stay at MIMARU Kyoto Station may be a one-time experience for us as visitors from Australia, the exceptional hospitality and personalised touches will undoubtedly be shared with all our friends planning holidays in Japan. The attention to detail, the warm birthday decorations, and the thoughtful birthday cards truly made our stay memorable. We believe that such genuine and personalised service deserves recognition, and we'll be sure to recommend MIMARU Kyoto Station to our friends and family. The commitment to creating a special and welcoming atmosphere is not only appreciated but also worth sharing with others who are planning their trips to Japan. It's these positive experiences that make a destination memorable, and we're confident that MIMARU Kyoto Station will leave a lasting impression on anyone fortunate enough to stay there.

During my recent stay at Mimaru Hotel Kyoto Station, I was truly impressed by the outstanding service provided by the reception team, especially Zun and Anh. Their level of professionalism, politeness, and genuine friendliness went above and beyond expectations, making my experience at the hotel both comfortable and memorable.||From the moment I checked in, Zun and Anh consistently demonstrated their dedication to hospitality. Whenever I approached them for assistance—whether it was asking for directions to various points of interest around Kyoto or figuring out how to transfer my luggage to another city—they were always patient, clear, and thorough in their explanations.||Their ability to provide accurate, step-by-step guidance made navigating Kyoto and planning the next stage of my journey effortless. What stood out most was the warmth and enthusiasm they brought to every interaction. No question was too small or inconvenient for them, and their cheerful attitude truly brightened my day.||It’s clear that both Zun and Anh take great pride in their work, and their commitment to ensuring guests have the best possible experience reflects so positively on the Mimaru brand. They are undoubtedly valuable assets to the hotel, and their dedication to guest satisfaction did not go unnoticed.||Thank you, Zun and Anh, for your exceptional hospitality! Your helpfulness and positive energy greatly enhanced my stay, and I will happily recommend Mimaru Hotel Kyoto Station to others, knowing the team delivers such...

We (2 adults, 2 teens) stayed 5 nights in a "garden-view family apartment" in July 2024, and had a terrific experience. It was our 2nd Mimaru (having stayed at Tokyo Asakusa Station earlier in our trip) and KS was just as good if not better. The front desk team is lovely - esp. Anh-san and Kiko-san: so friendly and helpful, with a warm welcome every time, helpful recommendations and umbrellas when necessary. We'd shipped our bags from Tokyo and they were waiting in our room when we arrived. The size is great; our tall teens (6ft/183cm ) found the bunk beds comfy, and the kitchen & dining spaces were very handy. The rooftop deck has a lovely view of the station & tower. We wondered if the ground-floor "garden" would mean a noisy stay but no, it was fine. We liked it so much that we cancelled our reservation that we had for another hotel for later in our trip when returning to Kyoto and booked M-KS instead. Our return night was spent on a higher floor (not garden-view) and it was just as great. The hotel staff even were able to keep our large bags for our 2 night trip away from Kyoto, and had them ready for us upon our return. As others have observed, the laundry facilities are very busy in the evenings and the dryers take roughly forever to dry, so do very small loads or plan on handwashing/hang-to-dry - but it's still handy to have laundry onsite. Can't say enough positive things about our experience. Thanks to Anh, Kiko and the rest of the team for making our Kyoto...

A perfect hotel for travelling in group, especially family members.

Although it is not surrounded by major tourist or shopping spots, however it is still convenient for us to travel around Kyoto as just around 10min walking distance to the Kyoto Station where you can get the domestic busses or subways.

We had a comfortable and relaxing stay. Probably, the rooms are spacious for group traveler. The Zen feel that probably came from the traditional Japanese interior designs has further enhanced our relaxation throughout our stay in this hotel.

In general, the staffs are extremely helpful and friendly. They were trying their best to answer us whenever we have any queries on reaching to our desire visiting spots. Moreover, they are "kids-friendly" as well. My daughter, who is 5 was speaking konichiwa and sayonara to the staff, and one of them (sorry, I do not know her name, but I would call her "Miss-Glasses" just came out from the counter and talk to my daughter and gave her an Origami. My daughter learnt to speak "see you next time" in Japanese from the internet, just to speak to one of the hotel staff on our check-out day. Most of them are well verse in English, so no communication barrier at all.

The facilities provides by the hotel are sufficient. You can do basic cooking and laundry without any problem. Furthermore, we were allowed to store our luggage before our check-in time / after our check-out time for free.

Please maintain the quality. Hope we...
