after many hours of shopping i was getting hungry. i knew i wanted sushi so i did a quick search and internet brough me to Chojiro. it was perfect since i was in the shopping mall shopping anyway. i knew i was going to eat more than one place so i wanted something quick and light so i can hit up other eateries.
i was seated right away at Chojiro and it turns out it was a conveyor belt sushi place. they also other table seating where you can order from the menu. in fact even though i was seated by the conveyor belt, i ordered everything from the menu.
i ordered a variety of different nigiri. but the best meal was my "5 pieces sashimi" plate. i thought for that price it really was just going to be 5 pieces. BUT when my plate came out, it was more than 5 pieces. it was 5 DIFFERENT kinds of fish but each fish came with 2-3 pieces! this plate was only 1430 yen (under $10USD)!!! where will i ever find such prices and quality of fish in California?!?! check out the picture of my bill, there you'll find the pricing of the dishes i ordered.

The serving time was excessively long. Despite ordering several items, including sushi, chicken karaage, and a seafood don, we had to wait for over 30 minutes for the chicken karaage to arrive and over 40 minutes for the remaining dishes. The service attitude was extremely poor. Upon being seated, an older server asked us if we wanted to sit at the bar. My girlfriend replied in Japanese that we were willing to sit there. However, as we were about to take our seats, the server abruptly pulled open two other seats and said, "no no no." It felt as though we were being blamed or scolded for something.

The fried prawn roll was the best thing we had, but the otoro scallion roll was the fishiest thing we had. The nigiri was some place in the middle. We thought we would order fried chicken so we wouldn’t have to go somewhere else to fill our tummies, but that too was pretty bad. The breading was tough and gummy and not at all fun to eat. I would skip this place unless you don’t mind fishy sushi and...
