2.5 stars It's the worst service I have ever experienced in Japan. Warnings to non-Japanese speakers: For basic or better service, come as early as possible on weekdays if you want better service.
Venue" about 10 minutes walk from Central Station. I came here because 2 minutes walk from my hotel. Busy cafe. Always line up. Come very early to avoid queue. Furnished in reto western style. Possible share big tables with strangers. Flowers, a metal coffee pot, menu, and sugar on each table. 2 restrooms. The frontdesk was messy. Noisy --- 7/10
Service: Line up from 8:30 am Sunday. To be seated at 8:50. The waitpersons can speak basic English. Disappointed ! Be neglected for a while (because a waitress already took my neighbor customer's orders, but they entered the shop after us). A mature waitress (I think she's in charge) realized our existence and came to take orders for us just before 9am. She told me where I could get water (ice or hot) and hot towels. We had been waiting for 30 minutes. The neighborhood customers almost finished their breakfast. Other new customers, who came at 9:15am, were eating. At 9: 33 a.m., I came out to ask the mature waitress how long we had to wait. Then, she was searching for my order slips. No apologies. I got my breakfast without any introduction at 8:38 am. At 9:45, the usher waitress came between us to clear my tables when we stood up and were going to leave. That's rather rude in all cultures. They serve their regular customers at priority. They will offer beautiful porcelain for Japanese. They don't care about tourists, probably depending on their moods. --- 4.5/10

Read moreSince we don’t have our “breakfast included” plan of accommodation, we got plenty of chances to explore breakfast around. This cafe is rather popular and filled with people speaking my mother tongue, making me wondered where I am. For the food, I picked the red bean paste toast, but there are more fancy and “IG-able” dishes too. The charge is based on your drink, not your food, a rather interesting arrangement. Besides the food, the utensils and atmosphere are...
Read moreFood is totally fine, toast with whipped cream , jam and red bean paste is really tasty.
But the service is awful, been travel to Japan a lot and barely got bad service like this time. Yelling at customer angrily “water is here!” and almost like throwing your dishes and bills on the table, definitely not a good experience for what おもてなし presents.
Conclusion: will not go again, there are way many good breakfast services in Nagoya, no need to ruin...
