A Pleasant Stay at DEL style Osaka Shin Umeda: Comfort and Convenience Blend Seamlessly
During my recent visit to Osaka, I had the pleasure of staying at the DEL style Osaka Shin Umeda by Daiwa Roynet Hotel, and I must say, my experience was marked by a sense of satisfaction across various aspects of my stay.
To begin with, the hotel's exceptional location is a definite highlight. Nestled in the heart of Osaka, it provides easy access to major attractions, shopping districts, and transportation hubs. This strategic positioning made it effortless for me to explore the city's vibrant offerings without having to travel far. Whether I was immersing myself in local culture or discovering culinary delights, the hotel's central location played a pivotal role in enhancing my overall experience.
The commitment to cleanliness observed at the DEL style Osaka Shin Umeda is certainly commendable. From the moment I entered the lobby to the time I stepped into my room, I was met with an aura of tidiness and order. The housekeeping staff's meticulous attention to detail was evident, ensuring that the hotel maintained a fresh and welcoming atmosphere throughout my stay.
The rooms themselves were a pleasant surprise, boasting a size larger than the average one typically finds in Japan. This generous room space was a welcome change, providing ample room for movement and relaxation. The thoughtfully designed interiors combined comfort and functionality, making my stay even more enjoyable.
In summary, my time at DEL style Osaka Shin Umeda by Daiwa Roynet Hotel was marked by its positive attributes. The superb location, unwavering commitment to cleanliness, and spacious rooms are definite highlights that contributed to a satisfying stay. For travelers seeking comfort, convenience, and a touch of spaciousness during their Osaka journey, this hotel undoubtedly presents an...
Read moreI stayed at this hotel on July 2024 during my Japan trip here in Osaka. Overall the experience was ok but the reception staff (or at least the person we interacted with) do not speak English and they basically try to communicate with you with a device that automatically translates - despite it works it’s still a suboptimal experience.
Rooms: good. They are larger when compared to other similar hotels in Osaka or more in general in Japan. Inside the room you can find pajamas, slippers, shower gel, conditioner and shampoo. If you are need additional room amenities you can find them at the reception entrance (Floor 3, right side) where there is a table with facial cleansers, face creams, tootbrush, combs, cotton pads and much more. Cleanliness was ok.
Breakfast: good. There were many western options as well. I appreciated the local foods that was offered every day - for instance we did eat the traditional Takoyaki which were served for breakfast.
Location: outside the city centre. It takes around 30 minutes by walk to arrive in Dotonbori so please consider to have long walk or take public transportation.
Service: as mentioned above, receptions staff do not speak English (or at least the person we interacted with) so you need to communicate with a device translator. We used the service to ship luggages and everything was ok. We filled out the form and seamlessly received the luggages in our next hotel destination. This type of service costed 5000yen for two large luggages (25kg/each). No credit card are accepted for shipment luggages - please make sure to have enough cash with you.
Overall I do recommend this hotel, however please keep in mind that it’s quite far from the city centre so you need to take public transportation unless you are willing to walk (30 minutes by walk from...
Read moreWe were a family of 3 (parents and teenage son) travelling around Japan for just under a month. We took 2 rooms as this somehow worked out at the same price as a family room.||The rooms are very, very small - the smallest we experienced during our travels in Japan. Finding space for our cases was a problem we didn't really solve. No public baths. Generally the hotel feels a little tired/old fashioned.||The breakfast was primarily catering for Japanese business guests with limited western options - just letting you know (not a criticism).||The hotel is located in the business district of Osaka and close to public transport links. It's very easy to get around Osaka - a day trip to Nara was a breeze (and highly recommended!). There is a supermarket in the basement of the office block office opposite. There are a few restaurant options close by but you are better off jumping on a tube to the foody areas.||The staff were very helpful and friendly - particularly helping us use the luggage forwarding service (which was such good value and worked so well)||We stayed at another Daiwa Roynet hotel in Tokyo where the rooms were larger, the hotel felt much fresher, the breakfast was better, etc, so we were disappointed with this...
