Good location (Kitahama Station is one block away, while several konbini, such as Family Mart, Lawson, and 7-11 are all also 1 block away). Service was amazing. The front desk staff who checked us in spoke excellent English. They are very polite and accommodating.
The hotel also has a laundry room, which we used; we paid ¥500 for a wash and dry cycle (all-in-one cycle) with a slightly large load, taking two hours to complete. We went to our room and did some packing and relaxing while we waited for the cycle to finish. The laundry machine has instructions written in English as well, including some small diagrams so you can easily understand how to use the service.
Update on laundry: they collect washed laundry if the owners do not collect it after 10 minutes. This is good, as our hotel in Akihabara said to wait 30 minutes after the cycle is complete before the front desk will pick up washed laundry.
Our room was slightly bigger than our Tokyo hotel room, which is always a plus. The room was clean and did not have any weird odors. Our room also had an air purifier/humidifier machine in addition to the AC. Their cleaning staff will clean rooms (if you leave your sign on the door) until 2pm, so be sure to leave it on your door handle well before 2pm if you'd like your room to be cleaned that day. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in Osaka, presuming the location is convenient for you. Coming from, and going to Osaka station (such as if you are needing to take the bullet train) was simple, as it's roughly a 7 minute walk to and from the hotel. Otherwise, when we explored Osaka itself, we simply walked 30 seconds to Kitahama Station. Super convenient location regarding the proximity of Kitahama Station.
Edit on our 2024 stay: the front desk lady saw me looking at their mini fridge, and perhaps overheard me telling my fiancee that the drinks looked good. After she checked us in, she surprised us by giving us two small cans of their Osaka fruit juice. It was so nice of her! Big ups to her and the rest...
Read moreThis was our last leg of the Japan tour, and this BW property near Kitahma metro station is conveniently located near Metro station, but the shopping areas are not within walking distances. Anyway metro connectivity is there to commute to the city, or other shopping areas, and convenience stores nearby can get you some quick bites.||The reception lobby area is good and the reception staff are polite and welcoming.||Rooms are pretty small and there is no proper place for placing the furtniture. Also, the bed is against the wall on one side and so access is a problem. The room was so crammed that movement for two people is not easy inside the room. This should be ideally sold only as single occupancy only.||The thing that we disliked most is that they do not provide free drinking water in the rooms. I first thought they forgot to keep them in the room, but upon checking with reception, I was advised to pay at the kiosk on the 7th floor and get it !! This was our first experience ever, making the guests pay for water. This mean attitude speaks volumes about the management of the property. Also, the kettle wasn't working but was replaced immediately.||There is a small breakfast area in the basement, and the had western spread which was ok.||Overall it was an average experience for our last hotel...
Read moreThis is definitely a recommended hotel in Osaka. The rooms are relatively larger than the average in Japan and equipped with the expected amenities.||The staff were very accommodating. After checking-in, we forgot on the counter at the front desk a small plastic bag with thousands of Yens. The amazing staff who checked us in was fun to chat with and he also returned to us the lost money when we arrived later back to the hotel. I forgot the guy's name, but he is really a star. He was very chatty and gave recommendations. I loved it!||The breakfast was delicious. I don't eat pork and there were some items every morning which contained pork, hence limited my options. Nevertheless, there was enough to choose from. The salad bar is probably the best feature of the breakfast. Plenty of fresh ingredients. I ended up eating a healthy "mountain" of salad every day.||The only thing that I feel they can improve is the internet connection. I was using it a lot and several times the internet lost connection or the signal went low and I had to switch to my phone's data to continue browsing. Other than that, everything else...
