A safe-bet restaurant. If you want to eat good yakiniku ("Japanese" Korean BBQ) in Shinjuku, you should look no further and go to this place.
I imagined that the price would be steeper than most yakiniku restaurants in the area as it was promoting its wagyu. However, its menu was a lot more reasonable. Most dishes ranged between 1,000 to upper 2,000s. The quality of the food, especially meat, was beyond my expectation. You must try their thick beef tongue ("ไธ็ใฟใณๅกฉ")! I swear it is one of the best in Japan. I've been to many yakiniku restaurants but this one is up there. I also enjoyed eating their skirt meat ("ใใฉใ"), very much.
Not to forget, the staff and owner were amazing people too. Very friendly, approachable and how you want hosts to be. 10/10.
I would definitely visit the restaurant again when I am in the mood for good yakiniku...

The restaurant is run by a kind and welcoming Korean lady, and the entire staff is incredibly friendly, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. While the menu is written in Japanese, navigating it is easy with the help of Google Translate.
The star of the show is undoubtedly the meatโexceptional quality that truly elevates the yakiniku experience. We opted for a set menu for two, and it was more than enough to satisfy both of us.
Though the restaurant is located in a slightly shady area, donโt let that deter you. Once inside, the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. And while youโre there, donโt forget to try the sakeโitโs a perfect complement to the meal. Overall, this is a great spot for a memorable...

They use very high-quality beef here! But the price is not burdensome at all. Expect to pay at least around 5,000 yen per person. Every cut of beef is truly delicious. It tastes amazing with plain white rice, and itโs also fantastic on its own. Of course, if you drink alcohol or order extra side dishes, the price will go up, but the flavor is absolutely worth it.
If you are visiting as two people, I recommend ordering 3โ4 kinds of beef, plus 2 kinds of horumon (beef offal). For side dishes, try the stone pot bibimbap or jeon (Korean pancake). Cold noodles or gukbap (rice soup) are also highly recommended.
The restaurant is located between Shin-Okubo Station and Shinjuku Station, making it convenient to enjoy sightseeing before or after your meal. Kabukicho can feel a little chaotic, but this restaurant itself is in a clean and bright area. If you plan to visit Don Quijote, I recommend the Shin-Okubo branch rather than the Shinjuku one.
The owner is Korean and very kind. The staff members seem to be from different countries, but they can speak English and Japanese, so communication is not a problem.
Instead of going to cheap and noisy yakiniku places, I highly recommend enjoying a clean, quiet, and comfortable...
