This hostel is a little bit difficult to find as it's small and hasn't got a big sign to indicate it's presence. It is a 3 storey building in a small street in Chiyoda and is about 15-20 min walk from Tokyo Station. This hostel is near numerous restaurants and bars/clubs (2 min walk). ||We got greeted by a lovely gentleman who was very welcoming and accommodating. He showed us our room and the facilities available. As we were only staying for one night, he asked what time we would leave the following day so he could arrange our breakfast prior to our departure ( breakfast is free). This was such a nice gesture which we couldn't say no to no matter how rushed we are for our next trip. We got the room of 4-bunk beds to ourselves so it felt like a our own private en suite room. ||I couldn't false the hospitality this gentleman has given us. Truly one of a kind. We were looked after very well and I would highly recommend this place for backpackers like us, couples, friends and families. Very cheap and very accessible! ||Arigatou...
Read moreI loved the location of Backpackers Mini house - its a 15min walk from Tokyo Station, but I recommend Otemachi Station (Exit 2b or 2c), from there its a 2min walk. Otemachi is perfectly connected with five subway lines.|The accommodation itself is small but sufficient. As everyone who enters will cross the small common room you will meet a lot of the other guests, mostly you will meet Jiji. Jiji is a talkative and super nice host, who travelled as a backpacker in his younger age. He wants to give each visitor a good memory for their stay in Tokyo. I loved talking to him!|The beds were the most comfortable Ive ever had in a Hostel! Each bed has a curtain and plugs. In the shower you can use free shampoo/conditioner and body soap. Jiji was too nice and let me have a free breakfast even though I was way too late for it!! He even kept my luggage for free after my check-out.||The only thing I didn`t like was the missing cleanliness...
Read moreThis place is truly exceptional - I felt at home and know that I now have a family in Tokyo: Uncle Jij. He was so nice and so interesting and cool to talk to (he travelled a lot when he was young!) and at the same he was never “too much”. He really touched me. In fact a couple of other guests in the hostel were people who had already stayed here before. Once you discover this place, I don’t think it’s possible to go elsewhere. Location is also perfect, close to so many stations (including Kanda at 6 min walk and Tokyo at 15 min walk) and in a quiet street. Dorm is good too with comfy bed and duvet, and very clean. Wifi works great. And last but not least the price is unbeatable for Tokyo... To sum up: the best hostel I’ve...
