This was the smallest room we stayed at in Japan and was clearly the budget end of Tokyo hotels. If all you want is a comfy bed and somewhere to crash then this will suit your requirements.||||We wanted to be close to the popular Akihabara area and this hotel was just one stop on the JR line. The hotel is very near a JR station so we found this very convenient for travelling. The hotel area is a business area with a few shops nearby.||||Check in was 15:00 but you could leave your bags with reception who were polite and friendly, we paid in cash at check in. Saturday nights in Tokyo are usually a lot more expensive, we paid 13400 for Friday night and 18900 for Saturday night. It was summer vocation and finding a room on Saturdays can be difficult. ||||The room was very small only one person could walk around at a time and the bathroom was what you would get in a caravan…very small. However it was surprisingly comfortable and had everything, the air conditioning worked well, the beds were very comfy, the free wi-fi was fast, the shower strong and hot.|| ||My only gripe was the 10am checkout with high additional charges for later checkouts. Service was the usual Japanese standard with towels arriving back at my room before me after I had asked for some more at reception. ||||A good cheap base to...
Read moreStayed at the Belmont for 11 nights on a business trip. Hotel is a very short walk from Asakusabashi station so location wise a big advantage.Coffee shop, restaurants and convenience shops all at a walking distance. I did find 4 Indian restaurants nearby and that was a pleasant surprise!||||Room was very small and compact not surprising for a city like Tokyo. Basic amenities covered but the washroom had a stink for some reason, mould on shower was clearly visible. Hotel is very old and badly needs renovation. Landed very late in the night so missed my breakfast next morning since I was 5 minutes late (the option given was cereals and coffee btw since I am vegetarian). Breakfast options very poor. Had to make do with fruits and coffee most of the time, even bread is very poor. Had a bad experience with their restaurant as well, was told on more than one ocassion that there is a private party so cannot be seated! ||||Please note that they have an early checkout at 10 am so a late night flight isa problem. Overall convenient location is the...
Read moreAnother does the job hotel that comes with some constraints.First, it is very well situated and that is definitely a plus.If you like the old 70's style, this is also fine. It is clean. The comfort is minimal. First price sofa. Bed is comfortable enough. Not light switches close from the bed. No bed lamp. They wants you to give back your key room every time you leave the hotel.Which comes with getting back the key every times you come back. In the basement. To then access your room on the floors above. And they close at night. from 12 to 5. So, you then need to call them to have someone opening you. Because keeping the key was not constraining enough. And accessing your room anytime you need is not the purpose of an hotel. You can hear the other rooms and what happen in the corridor from your own room. That include the number of people who came back a little drunk. Making noise. There is no smoking area. First and last time in my whole trip. That is the general...
