There’s a reason why they only have a 4.2 as their Google review rating. The only thing they have in their favor is the location. The bathroom and carpet in the room was full of hair that wasn’t mine. The bathroom would smell when the drain by the bathtub was backed up. I stayed here for 3 nights, and while the location was hard to beat, the customer service was awful. I arrived at the hotel at 11am which was before the check in time, not a problem. I stored my luggage there. While I was storing my luggage, I was asked to present my passport and the receptionist made a copy of it. I then left the hotel to go about my day and returned late that night to retrieve my luggage and check into my room. I booked at non-smoking room which was confirmed by the receptionist during check in. When I came back that night, I was asked to show my passport again to repeat the same process as the morning. It was almost 11pm at night and I was exhausted from being out all day. When I entered my room, I could smell the linger of smoke. I left my bags in the room, went back down to reception to relay about the smell. The receptionist apologized and told me they will arrange a new room for me, to please wait in the room for about 10 minutes while they prepare it. I went back to the room, and received call about 15 minutes letting me know my new room was ready. I had 2 relatively big suitcases plus a fully packed backpack and purse with me. I had to carry all of that luggage back downstairs to exchange room keys and then drag all of my luggage up to the new room again. By this point, it is well past 11pm and I was exhausted. Moving my belongings up and down multiple times was the last thing I needed. On the morning of check out, I called the front desk to see if I can request for a late check out of 10:30 rather than 10am. They initially tried to tell me they would charge me for an hour until 11am, and I said I was only requesting until 10:30. At 10:40 when I was just about to walk out of the room, the receptionist called to tell me because it’s past 10:30, they will charge me until 11. I relayed that I was leaving the room as we speak. I understand it was past 10:30 but only by 10 minutes. By the time I went downstairs, the receptionist told me they were charging me 2000 yen for the hour that I went past check out. She said they were initially giving me 30 minutes until 10:30 for free but because it was 10:45 when I talked to her, she will charge for the hour. So basically I was no longer getting the 30 minutes they were planning to give me for free. I explained the hassle I went through on the first night during check in and how I had to wait at least 25 minutes with the process of not changing rooms, not to mention having to lug my bags back and forth when it was already late at night. I asked if the extra 10 minutes could be waived for all of the inconvenience I went through, and she said no. You would think the least they could do at the point as a part of customer service to make up for what happened is to waive the time I went over. Unbelievable that’s how much they were resistant to compensate the customer, all at the cost of 2000 yen. Spend your...

Hisashiburi no APA. It's my first time trying this branch and I booked for 7 nights using it as a base for my trips.

The building was formerly Keikyu INN, so the rooms are slightly bigger than the standard APA, with a small nook to hang your coat by the entry. The interior is also different from regular APA, most noticeably the carpet, wallpaper and curtains.

It's a recently opened branch, but the building itself is old although clean and in good condition. Price wise, APA has increased compared to pre-pandemic times...

Front desk and cleaning staff are friendly and helpful, especially when helping me order pizza during the night of the taifun on June 2. Staff-san than you very much 🙇‍♀️

I was also able to check in early at 11:00 and check out at 14:00 with a 2 hour discount because I booked feom APA website. Thank you ^^.

My only "sad" feeling was that my room's window opened to tonari no kabe 🤣 so during the day the room does not get much light even though ventilation is still good. Hopefully next time they can give me a room with a better view on the high floor. I also feel that the position of the TV is not comfortable. I think changing the position of the bed and the desk would benefit this.

Location wise very close to Asakusabashi-eki. Toei Asakusa line to/from Narita and Haneda, and JR Chuo line to Chiba or Shinjuku.

Akihabara and Ryogoku only one station away, easy walk when the weather is nice. Walking to Asakusa is also not too far and pleasant (stroll the Sumida River side).

Overall it was an OK stay and as expected from APA. Im coming back to Japan in autumn and my plan is to try the Higashi Nihimbashi...

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the accommodations provided during my recent stay at your hotel. Despite making a reservation seven months in advance and specifically requesting 2 quiet, adjoining rooms for a three-week stay, we were assigned rooms that were directly adjacent to the cleaning supplies room. This resulted in significant noise disruptions every morning at 8 am, NOT THE HOUSEKEEPING STAFF FAULT AT ALL severely impacting our ability to rest and enjoy our stay.

I am particularly disappointed by the lack of attention and responsiveness from the hotel manager, Mr. Kataoka. Despite the inconveniences we experienced, he made no attempt to reach out to us or offer an apology. This level of customer service is unacceptable and does not meet the standards expected of a hotel manager.

Furthermore, the front desk staff was unable to provide any assistance or resolution to our concerns. As a result, our daily routine was disrupted, as we were unable to enjoy leisurely mornings due to the early morning noise.

I hope that you will take appropriate action to address these issues and ensure that future guests do not experience similar inconveniences.

The only good thing about it is that it's cheap, but you get what you pay for.

Reply to the hotel response: On the 16th day of my 18-night stay, I was presented with the option to...

This place is situated in a convenient location with easy access to JR Asakasabachi station and subway Asakasabashi. The rooms are clean and well-equipped with amenities. The trainee who took care of me since check-in, although I didn't ask for his name, appears to be from the Middle East and likely the one who speaks English most fluently at the reception. He did an excellent job assisting me, always being kind and supportive when needed. Given his helpful nature, he should become a permanent staff member at the hotel. Another Japanese trainee, though struggling to understand my English, was also friendly and attempted to help. Overall, this is a great hotel that I would choose for my next visit.

Stayed 7 nights in a superior double room for ¥80k (booked through Agoda). The room is spacious enough to have all 3 of our luggage open at the same time (2 large and 1 medium) which is a big deal for Tokyo especially at this price. Cleaning staff will daily leave plastic bags containing towels, yukata, and other amenities outside room door. There is no amenity bar. There's a microwave inside the room. Tap water is drinkable. Location is perfect for foodies because there are a lot of small restaurants in the vicinity. There's even a craft beer place just across the hotel. Just note that adult videos are saved in the TV so families with children might want to avoid this hotel chain.
