Asakusabashi Station — Local services in Tokyo

We came by here to store our luggage instead of Asakusa station and it was a good idea since the ones at Asakusa were all full (and that station is a lot bigger too so we would have to walk around farther to relocate our locker later). This station is smaller in comparison and much easier to navigate as well. They had several lockers available (we were there on a Monday at around 10:45am) and we paid 700 yen for a large locker. The train Asakusa Line is the worst service train ever. Thier doors would open like for 5 seconds then close again. A gap between each train and waiting time is about 8 mins and they always delay the trains everyday. Especially when i use it to go work and school. JR総武線各駅停車と都営浅草線が乗り入れる、東京都台東区浅草橋１丁目に位置する駅です。接続駅なので、乗換しやすい。台東区の駅では最南端に位置します。 JR線の東口周辺には「久月」や「吉徳」などの人形問屋や模型メーカー・卸、南口には衣料品といった各種の問屋がそれぞれ集まっていることで知られている。国道６号（江戸通り）沿いに位置し、近くには隅田川もあります。

駅名の由来である浅草橋は、嘗ては木造の橋が架けられ、橋の南詰に江戸城の城門浅草橋門が設置されていた。神田川は江戸城の外堀の役割を担っていた為、門の内側には番所が置かれ、通行人の監視も行われていた。五街道の日光・奥州街道が通り、非常に往来の多い橋でありました。現在、駅周辺を通る道路は国道６号線に指定されており、交通の要衝を担います。

JR線は相対式ホームの高架駅であり、東西に出入口があって浅草線への乗換は東口で接続。当駅以東の千葉方面はJR東日本千葉支社の管轄となります。各ホームを結ぶエレベーターは西口駅構内にあり、ホーム～連絡通路（２基）・連絡通路～西口改札を結びます。両国寄りにある東口は階段のみございます。多機能トイレは西口・東口両方あります。 ホームドアは2021年（令和３年）３月末に設置され、４月26日(月)から稼働開始しました。当駅は錦糸町駅と同様に従来型のホームドアです。

都営浅草線は国道６号（江戸通り）の真下に位置する地下駅で、改札が地下１階・ホームが地下２階にあります。Ａ１出入口にはエレベーターも併設されています。人気観光地「雷門・浅草寺」への最寄駅は浅草駅である案内板も設置。利用客を呼び掛けている。 エアポート快特の通過駅ですが、例年７月末に開催される「隅田川花火大会」開催日のみ臨時停車します。 エアポート快特以外の全列車種別（京急線 or...
