Having spent 3 weeks in Japan at accommodation rating from 2 to 5 star we found that overall accomodation in Japan was pretty good but you still got what you paid for in most cases. As our criteria for accomodation was for it to be a comfortable night sleep convenient to things we wanted to see and easy to get in and out, this place ticked all the boxes. With 5 adults we needed room to move (tick), comfy beds (tick), ability to wash clothes after touring for 3 weeks (tick), walking distance to some great food and shopping (tick), close to trains (tick).
