Awakening Cafe — Restaurant in Tokyo

Stopped by here for coffee and lunch. Unfortunately, there wasn't any lunch available on the day we came, but the coffee was incredible! The owner is very sweet and makes you feel welcome and is very passionate about the coffee. We tried some drip coffee and a special bean she recommends for lattes. I was impressed with how unique the flavors were, especially in the latte. Whatever that bean was, I know I won't taste something like it again. Like it was a flavored coffee, except it wasn't. We had great conversation, she spoke excellent English, and it was nice to make a connection. It sounds like they hold church meetings in the same building on Sundays, and then have this coffee space to create a fun open environment. I recently visited Awakening Café and had a delightful experience. The atmosphere was cozy, and inviting with soft music playing in the background, creating a relaxed ambiance. The baristas were friendly and knowledgeable, helping me choose the perfect beverage.

I ordered an americano, and it was exceptional. I had the choice of choosing my coffee bean, light or dark roast. It’s great to have a choice for a coffee bean because most places don’t offer this option. You have the choice of a hot or cold Americano. The presentation was also great in a tall glass.

I had some errands in Iriya and happened to find this cafe by chance. I thought I was going to just kill some time quietly, but ended up having wonderful conversations with the lovely staff and customers (and delicious coffee!)☺︎

I tried the seasonal house special called "Autumn Spiced Latte." Esther (the lovely barista) helped me choose between a light and dark roast (I went with light). It was a unique flavor with cinnamon and citrus - very tasty!
