Best 9-course omakase in Tokyo $120pp only @kaikaya_bythesea offers the most unique and excellent omakase experience that includes the freshest of fresh seafood and meats, including some homemade desserts. Every dish is a culinary masterpiece by the chef. 1. Half moon tofu with sesame seeds creamy sauce 2. Live tiger prawns boiled in salt 3. Two pieces of otoro sushi & crab and salmon roe stuffed in a crab shell 4. Seven kinda of fresh fish sashimi 5. Snow crab legs tempura and fish cakes zeppoli style 6. Stuffed with Gorgonzola risotto oven baked baby abalone 7. Branded chicken kohakudori and domestic duck yakitori 8. Wagyu zabuton beef tagliata 9. Homemade cherry blossom icecream and seasonal sweets 10. Traditional Japanese soup Everything tastes simply amazing, especially the sashimi and the beef were the showstoppers of the menu. But honestly I’d definitely be coming back here to dine again on my next trip to Japan. It was the best omakase experience I’ve ever had. Also the service is very very prompt, the moment you done with one course, the best is brought out in no time so no waiting and that’s a great sign. The staff all are very welcoming, friendly and attentive. We had the best time here. Highly recommend @kaikaya_bythesea for a fantastic, authentic yet unique Japanese omakase experience.

Unclear reservation rules restrict you to ordering from specific menus. Our waiter explained that those who booked using OpenTable must order from 3 various preset courses. Would be nice to have a disclaimer that identifies the other websites/links to use to make a reservation and be able to order from an a la carte menu.

Since we booked on OpenTable, we ordered the Tsuki set for ¥5300 per person that comes with 10 different courses. The first 3 courses (tofu, amberjack sashimi and assorted sashimi) literally arrived within 10 seconds of each other which was great because we were hungry but at the same time it took up all the space on our small two person table.

The next 3 courses took a while to arrive but like the first 3 courses, they basically came all at once again. Also things arrived out of order which was weird but it's fine. Overall the food was really average. The best dish was the assorted sashimi and my least favorite was the prawn with prawn sauce (it's basically tastes like the Chinese honey walnut prawn dish). When we were there, it was 95% foreigners and the waiters can communicate in English easily. For an easy, hassle free meal I would say try it out but if your looking for local flavors then...

From the moment you step inside, you can feel excitement radiating throughout the restaurant, thanks in large part to the friendly and attentive staff who are always eager to ensure that you have a great dining experience.

But, it's not just the service that makes this place so special. The food is truly outstanding, with a focus on fresh, high-quality ingredients and expertly crafted dishes that are bursting with flavor. The fatty tuna is absolutely delicious, with a melt-in-your-mouth texture that is hard to resist. The Wagyu beef is a must-try as well, and the baked scallop and shrimp tempura are both cooked to perfection.

And let's not forget about dessert! The homemade “cherry blossom” ice cream is the perfect way to cap off a meal at this amazing restaurant. It's no wonder that famous celebrities and rockstars have been spotted dining here repeatedly - the combination of great food, fantastic service, and lively atmosphere is truly unbeatable.

Overall, if you're looking for an exceptional dining experience, look no further than this Japanese Izakaya restaurant. From the moment you walk in, you'll be greeted with warmth and hospitality, and the food is simply outstanding. Don't miss out...
