During our recent family trip to Tokyo, we had the pleasure of staying at Vessel Inn Asakusa Tsukuba Express, and I must say it was an experience to remember. From the moment we stepped into the hotel, we were greeted with warm smiles and exceptional service, setting the tone for a fantastic stay. The location of the hotel was absolutely perfect. With Asakusa Station and Tawaramachi Station within walking distance, we had easy access to the city's major attractions. Exploring iconic landmarks like Senso-ji Temple and Kappabashi Shopping Street became a breeze, thanks to the hotel's prime location. Our rooms at Vessel Inn were cozy and well-appointed, providing us with a comfortable retreat after a long day of sightseeing. The inclusion of an air purifier with a humidifying function ensured that the air in the room was fresh and clean, adding to our overall comfort. One of the highlights of our stay was the inviting lounge area. From 2 pm to 11 pm, we could unwind and enjoy unlimited drinks. Whether it was sipping on hot coffee or indulging in a refreshing soda, the lounge offered a relaxing space for our family to rejuvenate and share stories of our adventures. The amenities provided by Vessel Inn were excellent. The comprehensive selection of towels, toiletries, and even free items like toothbrushes and razors from the amenity corner in the lobby was a thoughtful touch. We also appreciated the availability of a 24-hour coin laundry, which allowed us to freshen up our clothes conveniently.Throughout our stay, the staff at Vessel Inn Asakusa Tsukuba Express went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction. Their warm hospitality, helpfulness, and valuable recommendations added a personal touch to our experience. It truly felt like we were staying with friends who cared about making our stay exceptional. In conclusion, Vessel Inn Asakusa Tsukuba Express provided us with a memorable and enjoyable stay in Tokyo. The convenient location, comfortable rooms, inviting lounge, comprehensive amenities, and attentive staff made our trip all the more special. If you're planning a visit to Tokyo and looking for a hotel that combines convenience and comfort, I highly recommend considering Vessel Inn Asakusa...

Will come back if I am going to Tokyo again in the future.

Room is clean and reasonably sized - considering hotel rooms in Japan (especially Tokyo) are general small. Not so big but definitely enough for couples.

I lived in a renovated room, the interior design is modern and simple, nothing fancy but comfortable and aesthetically pleasing. Service is good and staff are responsive. Most of them are able to communicate in English.

Convenience stores in walking distance, one is just across the road (

Vessel Inn Asakusa was a mix of highs and lows that make it a budget-friendly but flawed option for staying in Tokyo. On the positive side, the hotel is priced reasonably, especially for the Asakusa area, and it boasts some great common facilities that elevate the experience. The beautiful lounge lobby is a pleasant place to relax, with its cozy seating and stylish décor, creating a welcoming atmosphere as soon as you walk in. The shared kitchen is a thoughtful addition, fully equipped with utilities that make it easy to prepare a quick meal, and the complimentary welcome drinks are a nice touch, adding to the hotel’s appeal. The rooms are also relatively spacious compared to typical Tokyo standards, providing ample room to move around.

However, these good points are overshadowed by several significant drawbacks. The rooms themselves leave much to be desired in terms of cleanliness and maintenance. Upon entering, the heavy smell of smoke immediately stands out, which lingers and makes the stay uncomfortable. The state of the rooms is disappointing, with visible stains on the bed linens and questionable levels of cleanliness that suggest a lack of proper upkeep. Additionally, the sound insulation is poor, meaning that noise from neighboring rooms and the hallway easily disrupts any chance of a peaceful night’s sleep.

Overall, while Vessel Inn Asakusa gets some basics right with its common facilities and room size, it falls short where it matters most—service and hygiene. Without significant improvements in cleanliness and room maintenance, it’s hard to recommend this hotel beyond its...

I booked this hotel on my last night in Tokyo before going home after my trip. The rooms are big, which is nice and the staff was very nice and helpful. The bed is ROCK HARD, which is the worst thing. It honestly was like a cardboard box with springs. There was a a 1 inch mattress topper on it but it did not help at all. Thank goodness I was only staying here for one night. It is to be noted that there is a 1-1.5 foot step to get into the bathroom and then the bath is 1.5-2 feet high when you want to get in to shower, so not the best bathroom for anyone that has mobility issues. The ceiling in the bathroom is also very low, so if you are taller than 5 foot 7 you will have to crouch to shower. The hotel is near all the sights in Asakusa, but far from any metro station (the closest is the Tsukuba express, but that won’t get you much of anywhere). To get back to the airport, this wasn’t my best choice of hotel location. I ended up taking a taxi to Asakusa station with my luggage as it was a 25 minute walk. Unless you like a very hard bed, I would not recommend this hotel. There was also an issue with hot water, they asked us not to take showers between 9-11 pm due to insufficient hot water. I take my showers in the morning so that didn’t affect me, but for a big hotel in a touristy area of Tokyo, this isn’t the best thing.

Ah. This used to be the Toyoko INN Asakusa Senzoku Tsukuba Express, that explains why the room layout seems eerily similar. I stayed in the Comfort Single room which was excellent as it was newly renovated. The hotel is a little far from the nearby subway stations - about a 15 minute walk to Iriya Station or 8 minute walk to Tsukuba Asakusa Station which is kind of useless as the only point of interest it goes to is really just Akihabara, and the station is so deep it takes forever to get to the concourse. It is a 20 minute walk to the much more useful Asakusa Station on the Asakusa/Ginza Line but with that said, you can choose to walk through the heart of Asakusa/Senso-Ji which makes the walk go past much quicker In terms of hard products the hotel is great - room was very comfortable, breakfast was great and the free washing machine was a great plus. One of the girls at the frontdesk however did gave me some attitude during check in which immediately left a sour taste in my mouth. Wish that interaction never happened... all I did was asked about the 12PM Check Out that comes with being a member. Do bring earplugs as the hotel have thin walls. I would have given this 4.5/5 instead if Google allowed for half points.
