Daigakuimo Chibaya — Local services in Tokyo

Candied Sweet Potatoes (daigakuimo) are amazing! Deep-fried sweet potatoes in a sweet sauce are such a simple snack that you may believe you can get them anywhere. But, you would be wrong! Having tried multiple places in japan, these are hands down the best.

Pros: They are delicious. The price is a perfect 400g for ￥800.

Tough things: No, English staff, but the transaction can be easily handled with pointing. They are busy; expect a three or 4-person line. Takeout only, but there are several parks...

Don’t just assume this is an ordinary candied sweet potato store. I am a big sweet potato lover and this has been the best that I had so far by far! It’s one of the oldest store known for its “Daigaku imo”. You will need to wait for a while as they can only make a small amount each time because cook and candy the sweet potato by hand. Their fried candied sweet potato is good but I am a big fan of the steamed potatoes as well. It’s just been steamed but it tastes really sweet. Simple...

今年ももう4月。 激動、というよりかは疲弊の一年と言った方が良いかもしれない。

突然だが皆さん今年の目標、みたいな物はたてただろうか？ たぶん多くの人がたてるであろうと思う。ちなみに私もたてた。

その目標に向かって皆さん日々頑張っているだろうか？私は二つの目標をたてた。一つは東京ラーメン百名店の制覇。もう一つはストリートワークアウトの技を習得することである。

百名店制覇の方は計画当初からかなりイージーな部類の目標だった。故にもう少しで達成できそうだ。 そして技について、これは正直かなり難しい。 計画した時点で無理かもなーって思っていたので、これはまぁ、元日の私が馬鹿すぎた。 ちゃんと計画を修正しないといけない。

とまぁ、長々と私が何が言いたかったかというと4月にして新しい目標ができてしまったのだ。

それが読書。 なんとなくわかるかもしれないが、本当に私は最近言葉が出てこない。もうほんとに。笑 文章を書いている人間からしたら致命的である。

別にね、私だけの備忘録なので文章なんてどうでも良いっちゃぁどうでもいいのだが、もし楽しく読んでくれている人がいるのなら、少しでも楽しんで欲しいじゃない。

ということで、とりあえず週一で本を読んでいこうと思います。いや、もうほんとになんの話。ということで本編へ、どぞ。

今回のお店は【千葉屋】さん。浅草は言問通り沿いにあるお芋の名店。

スイーツ百名店、その中でも和菓子の類が特に多い浅草近辺。 そんな和菓子激戦区の浅草で、大学芋と切り揚げ（芋けんぴと大学芋の中間）だけで人気を博す。凄い。

注文は量り売り。 200gから購入可能だが、お店の方に400gですか？ときかれて反射的に400gを購入。

いや、あの一人暮らしで芋400gとか終わったんですけど？思っていたのも束の間。結果的に全然足りなかったわ。美味しすぎて。
