For 2000 yen, before meal you can have some 30 minutes kid ninja lesson, like throw shuriken, sword, etc, and My kid loved it! But after that, all went downhill. The food was so pricey and very poor quality. We ordered udon, chicken grilled and curry, all just so terrible. The curry is just plain curry sauce and yellow rice, no vegetables no meat no nothing. The udon is plain udon and curry sauce, they didn't even bother to garnish it with seaweed or onion, as usually comes with udon. The chicken was overcooked that all the juiciness was dried out, again no garnish like lettuce or tomato, to make it a bit nicer. I believe Jail food has better appearance than this. And the ultimate mood spoiler is the hidden charge! In Japan, it is govt regulation for the restaurant to put all the prices and charges in menu. Be it table charge or service charge, you hv to put it the menu, so there will be no surprise when the bill arrives. So we were in for nasty surprise when we saw there is charge 200 yen for each person, which is not written anywhere, and we were not made aware of it in advance either. I hv been living in Japan for 10 years, this is the first time I saw such a bold and blunt hidden charge. All in all, it was pricey experience. Yes, it is a given that this kind of particular restaurant is overpriced, but this is just, what we got is not worth compare to the price we paid. This is just a tourist trap, no more no less. And the hidden charge is just icing on the cake to...
Read moreI recently had the most incredible time at the ninja cafe in Japan! The entire experience was truly unforgettable, and I owe it all to Coach Mawo. From the moment we stepped into the cafe, Mawo's warmth and enthusiasm made us feel welcome and excited about our ninja training.
Mawo's expertise in the art of ninja was evident in every aspect of our training. She patiently guided us through various techniques, teaching us the true essence of being a ninja. Her attention to detail and ability to explain complex moves in a simple manner was remarkable.
Not only was Mawo an exceptional coach, but she was also incredibly friendly and approachable. She took the time to get to know each of us individually, offering personalized advice and encouragement throughout our training. Her passion for ninjutsu was contagious, and it made the experience all the more enjoyable.
I can't recommend Mawo and the ninja cafe enough. If you're looking for an authentic ninja experience in Japan, this is the place to go! Mawo's dedication, knowledge, and genuine kindness make her the perfect coach for anyone interested in embracing their inner ninja.
Thank you, Mawo, for an incredible adventure that will stay with me forever. I can't wait to visit again and continue my ninja training under your expert guidance!

Read moreThis experience wasn’t really what I expected. There weren’t any ninjas, or even any cool tricks for that matter. Basically, someone shows you some moves that involve basic sword swinging for a few mins, then you throw some ninja stars at a dart board, and blow some darts at the same dart board. All of this lasts about 15 mins max. It’s also all happening in a pretty small room where everyone (including groups before and after you) is all sitting together so it feels a bit cramped. Also feels odd to watch the previous group do their ninja training right in front of you before you even start.
The food is great if you are vegan or vegetarian, so major props for that since my group is 1/2 vegetarian. The “ninja trick dessert” is just a guy who dips his fingers in some wax, touches a candle flame, and ignites a small plate of alcohol. So, no tricks really involved there. The “ninjas” also didn’t really play the part at all and were pretty casual about the whole thing. My little sister enjoyed it so 4 stars for that. Recommend for children, and don’t...
