Staying here was an incredibly relaxing and immersive experience, blending traditional Japanese aesthetics with modern comforts. The room had a beautifully designed tatami floor, creating a cozy and tranquil atmosphere. The service and the amazing comments I saw on both Google and Agoda were the reason why I book the place in late Oct.

We travelled in three with luggages and didn’t drive for the trip. The Inn location is just 6 mins drive from the station up the hill from town. Definitely not ideal for travellers with no car because their shuttle service is only available for normal check in/out time (check in after 4 and check out at 10 the next day).

It was a total nightmare for us when we only find out the hotel staff had to prepare for the breakfast the next day hence no shuttle service available, nor any taxi booking available. In the end, we had to walk to Yufuin bus terminal with our luggages for nearly half an hour (claimed to be 15 mins downslope walk by staff).

Strongly suggest travellers with no car to reconsider before booking because the Inn did not seem to find our issue as an issue even we emailed them...

Nice little private onsen hotel with genuinely stunning view of the mountain. Only deducting one star because the degustation dinner was hard to eat. It honestly was a challenge to eat, i eat fish but somehow this sitting really made me want anything else, and it just kept slowly coming in tiny increments. I was in a group of 4 people and we were all aware that our palette was not developed for this Japanese cuisine - but still - turtle, slimy textures and fishy raw fish, just wasn’t very enjoyable.
