AYKUN Terrenkur Almaty — Hotel in Almaty

So, I got scammed in this hotel. I had booked on Booking until the 24th. But while in the taxi on my way to the hotel, I got a message that my flight would be delayed and moved to the 25th.

When I arrived at reception, I explained this to the young receptionist (a guy) and told him I needed one extra day. He said, “No problem, I’ll mark it in the system, and you can come to pay later.”

A few days later, I went to reception again (this time there were two girls). They told me there was no booking made from the 24th to the 25th, so they created it on the spot. I paid in cash, around 11,000 tenge, for that extra day.

Today, when checking out, the same receptionist told me I hadn’t paid for the 24th–25th :))) I told them to check the cameras if they don’t remember :))). But since my taxi was waiting, I had to leave.

At the airport, I got a message from the hotel saying the day wasn’t paid. Obviously, they didn’t check anything; they just said they were “sure” :))) So I ended up paying again — an extra 16 EUR for nothing, plus 13 EUR for an international transaction fee.

This is how you get scammed here. So, people, please make sure to record a video when making payments :)

Hopefully, the owner sees this message and actually checks the cameras. Maybe next time they’ll hire more professional staff, not just students who “don’t remember.”

Good location, kind people but the rooms are very bad. Can’t even call them rooms; feels more like a closet. They’re not like the photos at all. This is a capsule hostel. The rooms are so tiny that your body heat gets trapped in there and heats up the room into a hot, sweaty, soggy mess. There is no airconditioning at all in the rooms. You have to keep the door open to let the slightest breeze of fresh air in. If sleeping in a coffin at 27°C, bathing in your own sweat and waking up 5 times during the night is totally your thing, this is your place. But don’t expect a “hotel” like...

Бронировал минималистичный номер ("капсулу") в данном отеле. Подкупило расположение отеля прям возле Терренкура и подъёма на Кок-Тобе. Есть своя парковка. Номер (а в моём случае всё же скорее капсула) включает в себя кровать, стол, светильник и картину (сгенерированную нейросетью, выглядит симпатично). Окон нет, но я знал, на что иду. Двери с электрическим замком, удобно. Туалеты и душевые (раздельно для мужчин и женщин) находятся в отдельной комнате, по два туалета и две душевых кабинки. Раковин (умаывальников) здесь 4 или даже больше. Здесь также никаких претензий. Больше всего понравилась "гостинная" комната при входе: красивая, есть телевизор, много столов для компаний. Имеются розетки для телефонов/ноутбуков. При входе расположены тапочки для гостей. Рядом с гостинной находится кухонная комната с холодильником, плитой, микроволновкой и несколькими столами. Завтрак в отеле - классический шведский стол. Асспортимент не широкий, но всё необходимое есть. Также воспользовался услугами прачечной. Менее чем за 12 часов всё было постирано и поглажено.

Я впервые проживал в столь "компактных" условиях, но сотрудниками отеля были предприняты все меры для того, чтобы это пребывание было приятным. Долго (больше 24 часов) делали уведомление о моём прибытии в отель (как иностранного гражданина). Но, администрация находилась на оперативной связи. Ссылались на проблемы в работе программы для регистрации (не на их стороне). Мне нужно было получить это уведомление как можно скорее. Хорошо, что я пребывал два дня. Ок. Высокая слышимость. Шумных соседей слышно так, словно они находятся у тебя под боком (чисто технически так и есть, конечно, разделенные стеной). По всей видимости, звук проходит в основном через дверь. Но!
