This is my favorite hotel in Vientiane. It's in a perfect location, right near the central fountain that has recently opened after years of construction. The new area that has been created there is surprisingly elegant, despite the delayed re-opening. It brings a vibrant feel to that part of the city. Phone Paseuth is down one of the small streets that ends at the fountain area. There are three different style rooms, but they only differentiate between those with a window and those without. The rooms with a window are much nicer for only a couple dollars difference in price. There is only one per floor so sometimes they fill up, but if possible the window rooms are much nicer. The window rooms are the rooms nearest the balcony so they look out onto that. Although the balconies are accessible to everybody staying there, I have rarely found them occupied. It is almost like getting a private balcony room without the extra charge. If you are a light sleeper or require complete isolation, the inner rooms are similar, but lack the openness and sunlight as you would expect. The possibility of being woken up by people out on the balcony smoking exists, but has never been a nuisance for me. I've stayed there about a dozen times, usually for more than one night, and always found the staff pleasant, the rooms clean, and the price fair. I've also stayed at most of the other hotels in the area, and can state that this one is worth the money. It's not the best or nicest, but is more...

Read moreWe were walking past looking for somewhere new after leaving backpackers hostel (all the same and overpriced) when we popped in and enquired. Room was 2/3's of the hostel room (and it included a great breakfast and all day free tea and coffee) and on inspection was really good. Clean, spacious, air con, good bathroom with hot water.||||We booked there and then and had an excellent stay. We read the reviews which would have put us off but when we were there we got talking whilst using the good computers in reception to what turns out to be the new owner. He is excellent, a backpacker and traveller from Thailand and he has whipped the place up and changed it totally returning the place, making it so nice and friendly and its so clean its crazy. Constantly cleaning rooms and communicates and the smell.of.Clean is always a nice smell in your home from home.||||Stay here...or at least go look at it. It's central and its so good. I was compelled to write a good review...a recent review for the new owner and his staff who deserve good business for...
