Food take too long.
I got there at 11:50 and our food arrived at our table around 12:45. Nearly an hour for our food to be ready. there was only 3 table with customers on the second floor. don’t you think it too long for an office worker to wait this long just to have lunch and rush back? I don’t think so. I know if it take too long why would I come, it actually my first time here and probably the last. Nearly an hour for my food to be ready and It just a simple dish that I’m confident that pre-made like slow cooked beef, I highly doubt it that they gonna make it fresh to order, and another dish was just Kapao, probably that most common dish that people assume will be quick to cook. I don’t know, maybe there was only one cook in the kitchen, but why would anyone who own a restaurant let there be only one chef in the kitchen in rush hour time?
Customer service need to be improves. I was sitting on the second floor, normally there should be atleast one employee around, but no, none of them want to take responsibility to be asked why customers where their food at. So all of them hide on the first floor until the food is ready.
Food was fine, but overall...
Read moreThis place is a culinary tragedy. I ordered beef brisket with a poached egg, with another poached egg added to the order. It took an age to appear even though I was the restaurant’s sole customer. I don’t mind waiting for food as long as it’s edible and well prepared. It looked as though someone had scooped a bowl of pig swill from a waste food bin. The rice was clumpy and saturated in dish water. The brisket wasn’t brisket at all, it was inedible gristle with no meat whatsoever. The poached egg was all over the place and stone cold. The additional poached egg wasn’t poached it was some sort of indescribable mess. A restaurant of this quality would never survive anywhere in the world except for Lao. Abominable, truly abominable, don’t even think about going there. If you can’t even perform the most basic human functions such as cooking eggs, you have no business operating a restaurant. A meal that will live long in my memory because of its staggeringly bad mediocrity. Not only the worst restaurant in Lao but a competitor for the worst restaurant on the planet. It ought to be a crime to serve food of that standard,...
Read moreHave late dinner at this 2-storey kind-of-Chinese restaurant. Do note that one should explore or dine on the upper storey as it was much charming there. Also there were lots of choices in their menu, though most of them were merely repeated with different type of meats or ingredients on rice or noodles.
We have the mixed meats on rice and a spicy prawn noodle. The mixed meats rice was not bad especially the roast pork and braise pork. They were crispy and melt-in-the-mouth respectively. The “char siew” however was very dried. The overall bowl would be much better if they put some sweet source on it, as the rice was also quite dry. The noodle was very interesting. It was like kind of instant noodle but top up with fresh prawns and lots and lots of dried chillies. It was quite spicy but a good mixed of taste in a mouth full.
Last but not least, the lady staff who served us was really friendly and patient. Good overall...
