This shop serves both as a bar and a restaurant. There’s a wide array of alcohol for one to choose from at very affordable prices.

The food was very delicious. The Fried Fish (285.000 kip) was extremely worth. It was very well seasoned, and it was so well deep fried that you can eat some parts of the bone like a cracker! Fish was very fresh and meat was very firm - definitely our top fish from this restaurant.

The Laos sausage was another favorite - the minced pork fillings were distinct and appetizing. The sausage was very firm and had a good chewy texture. The chilli sauce that accompanied it was truly a wonder. It had the right level of spice, and brought the right balance to the dish.

Fried rice wasn’t very nice though. Had to use the chilli sauce from other dishes to supplement it.

It is also quite a pleasant ambience for a bar. There is an outdoor seating area with an open bar at the ground floor, and an indoor seating area with a performance stage. There were also a lot of foreigners and tourists, so it seems to be a common tourist spot for food.

Because of the large number of tables and customers, service may be slow and may be quite difficult to grab the attention of the staff. Otherwise, it was a decent place to have a meal.

Edit: added new dishes as we went to the restaurant a second time. Naturally, we ordered the fried fish again! Satay chicken was actually very nice. Marinated so well that it was nice on its own. The peanut sauce that accompanied it was very rich and creamy. Very tasty!

Laap beef was very spicy, and was accompanied by a lot of herbs which overwhelmed the dish slightly. It is still very nice, and pairs well with rice. On its own, it is very salty and heavy in flavour.

The fried spring roll was a star! Very tasty and fried to a very crisp state. The sweet and sour sauce was prepared very well, and paired perfectly...

This restuarant is a hidden gem offering a delightful blend of Lao and western cuisine, left me thoroughly impressed during my recent visits. The star of the menu was undoubtedly the Lao food sets, specially crafted for two people. Each set encompassed a tantalizing assortment of soup, rice, salad, and dessert, perfectly complemented by a refreshing glass of loa loa drink.

I was pleasantly surprised by the incredible flavors and authentic Lao taste present in every dish on both occasions. We ordered the Discovery set and the chamasak set. Both were equally very tasty. The thoughtfully curated food sets showcased the richness and diversity of Lao cuisine, providing a truly satisfying dining experience. What's more, the portions were generous, ensuring a fulfilling meal for two.

In addition to the delectable food, the prices were incredibly affordable. With a mere $14, my dining companion and I enjoyed a complete meal, including appetizers and drinks. The affordability of the restaurant made the experience even more enjoyable.

The service was exceptional, with the staff displaying attentiveness, friendliness, and a genuine willingness to accommodate our needs. Their efficient service further elevated our dining experience, adding to the overall satisfaction.

For those seeking a more serene dining ambiance, the rooftop seating area at Khop Chai Deu provided a lovely escape from the noise and hustle of the first floor. It was the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy the evening, making it ideal to visit before the crowd arr Khop Chai Deu is a true gem that seamlessly combines Lao and western cuisine. The Lao food sets, along with the affordable prices, exceeded expectations in terms of taste and value. The exceptional service and the tranquil rooftop atmosphere added to the overall allure of...

With cuisines of various nationalities, And a vegetarian menu and then various drinks, beers, wines, cocktails, etc.,

I ordered. the bbq skewers, mango rice, and beer, all of them were delicious.

And I got curious what other people ordered. So I looked around at the restaurant's. I didn't even look up to the second floor.

People of various nationalities were all laughing and having fun With their companions. People and employees sitting outside trying to avoid the rain suddenly started pouring down, so they were momentarily distracted.

But everyone looked happy. Maybe it's because the food is delicious, Maybe it's because of the lovely and feel free atmosphere of the restaurant. Maybe it's because of the professionalism of the restaurant staff, or maybe it's because of the good time ,overflowing with happy emotions from the person they are with now.

Perhaps, all of the above contents.

Even though I ate alone, seeing other people happy made me feel good too. I think it would still feel good to visit again.

It was an excellent restaurant for me.👍

P.S. Of the dishes I ordered, the bbq skewers were overall delicious. However, the meat(beef) was a bit be tough n chewy.

And most importantly, be careful with the peppers on the innermost part of the skewer. I thinking it wouldn't be that spicy, but I was stupid for not being careful. my mouth was on fire for over 10...

Ironic name for the restaurant, I’d like to say "Khop chai deu", but I can’t… Horrible food that you can’t eat anyway because of the flies. The beef had the texture of rubber! 2-star service. Even though there were plenty of staff, it took a long time for someone to even notice us! Although they saw we left the plates almost untouched, no one asked if there was an issue with the food. 400k LAK completely wasted. The only edible dish was the rice with vegetables! The good part is that there are many other great restaurants nearby where you can actually enjoy a meal and where the staff knows how to treat customers. We definitely won’t be coming back!

The indoor dining area is very pleasant. The Lao platter, which served a variety of Lao dishes, was delicious. I particularly enjoyed the fried river weed and the stew, which had a rich, natural flavor. The sausage was juicy and flavorful. The cocktails were also very tasty and well-presented. I highly recommend dining or drinking here. In particular, I suggest taking advantage of this opportunity to try a variety of traditional Lao foods!

Hotel recommended this restaurant 1min walk away. Upon seeing the menu I already suspected that I won’t get authentic Laotian food - the menu tried to cover everything from Indian to Thai to Chinese to western. The clientele look and sound foreign too. Food ended up tasting much better than expected. The only issue tho, is that the shrimps in pad Thai tastes rather off They accept credit card
