Would be OK for a short stay of say a few days. Basic rooms, but it did have the most comfortable bed I have slept on since being in Lao PDR.
PROS: Friendly, helpful, and accommodating staff; artistic, energy efficient, and well designed lighting in rooms; comfortable beds; Flatpanel updated television sets with integrated apps like Netflix, YouTube, WeTV. and more (don't forget to log out your Netflix account before check-out); lobby cafe with bakery & several other food options; shared workspace and comfable lounge furniture in lobby; rooftop infinity edge pool.
CONS: cute mini fridge. However, it has a manufacturing defect with no freezer space; no wash cloths, shampoo, or conditioner provided in the bathroom. They are using a single product and placing it in dispenser labeled "hand wash dispenser" at bathroom sink; in the shower, the same cheap product in body & hair wash dispenser. The bathroom door creaks and makes lots of noise.
The pool has a nice view, but the area is narrow with not much lounge furniture because the majority of the rooftop space is a bar (which might not be operating) and authorized personnel only space.
It seems that the designers of the building could not decide whether the roof should be a pool or a party space and just said screw it and dedicated a fraction of space for pool and the majority for the latter. Overall, my rating is 2.5 out of 5 stars, and I believe there may be better value for your money elsewhere...
Read morePositive: It's new and modern, finished built within the last couple of years. The room is comfortable, good bed, smart TV, good shower ++ The seating area in the reception is fairly good, and very popular amongst guests even though the furniture was surprisingly worn down. Excellent location, in walking distance to everything. The hotel kiosk is quite nice, with nice variety of snacks and drinks.
Negative: The room is small and tight, it's hard to move around the room. The TV had no signal, only Netflix etc. which you have to use your own subscription. The swimming pool is very small. The hotel has a coupon for breakfast solution which was just weird and awkward. Not only was the coupon only sixty thousand kip, which barely gets you a coffee, it's was also very awkward with the staff trying to calculate what you can afford with your coupons and not. Your not allowed to bring snacks bought outside the hotel into the hotel which was strange.
Overall, even though the room was quite comfortable, I don't think we'll stay here again as there are other multiple great options around Vientiane and the value for money...
Read moreI'm two nights into a four-night stay and I'm looking forward to checking out. It's not all bad - the room is quite good for a budget hotel. The decor is trendy, the bathroom is nice and the room has a mini-fridge, kettle and safe. There is also satellite TV but only one (news) channel in English. The hotel is centrally located at Nam Phu fountain. There is a cafe in the lobby but the food selection is very limited and the hotel does not offer any meals, not even breakfast. Unfortunately, my room overlooks a late night bar and it's been quite noisy for the last two nights despite keeping the window closed. In addition , my room has a connecting door to the next room and the person staying there snores so loudly they may as well be in the room with me! The hotel has free WiFi but, at least for the last two nights, the connectivity is really bad. The air-conditioning is also an issue. It cuts out regularly and the controls are attached to the wall so you have to get out of bed to turn it back on. So, overall, it is a disappointing experience. I would not stay here again or recommend...
