If anyone thinks this hotel is worth it - you are simply just buying the room because you believe in the brand. Centrepoint is less than 50% of the price, the rooms look more modern, and they are way bigger
Ruby Hotel is only 13 minutes away, it is way bigger, more modern, and nicer. What is the point in paying such a high price for a tiny room? Because you are in the city? Not a good enough reason to be wasting that much money. This hotel should be cheaper than Ruby Hotel (540,000 kip).
I walked in to the lobby and paid for my room. Saw my room for 30 seconds, called reception and asked if I could get a refund. They said no. Why? Cause i walked into this room for only 30 seconds? You make me pay this price for a room this tiny, lacking in amenities, and think this is worth it? IBIS is a damn joke.
I came late at night because i had no other choice, and yes it is my fault that i agreed. However, if i have simply walked into a room, and then asked for a refund, what is the reason for not giving it to me? Is IBIS that money hungry, they don't believe in good hospitality anymore?
I don't wish badly upon anyone, but I hope the owner of this hotel goes bankrupt so someone who actually cares about hospitality can take over. This...
Read moreMy wife and I had 3 wonderful nights in Ibis Vientiane Nam Phu - well located, very clean, comfy bed, comfy room and friendly staff. We found Vientiane very dusty during the dry season but our room was so clean and dust free especially the floor. The room is bigger than the usual ibis standard room. The hotel is well located. The restaurant and spa areas etc are on the right side and the main sites (Wat Si Saket, Ho Phrakeo Museum etc) are on the left of the hotel main entrance - all walkable (Vientiane is a SE Asian country where one can easily to places of interest, restaurants etc). We used a ride share app called Loca and it was really convenient to use where ibis is located. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel because we were already tired of having buffet breakfast at the hotel. There are many good cafes and restaurants near ibis to have good breakfast. The staff was friendly and professional, and we found the hotel security excellent. Furthermore the hotel is a great value for the money for a tourist class hotel especially if one is traveling for extended amount of time. If you're looking for a 5 star luxury place, look some where else. There's no novotel, sofitel or any other high end Accor hotels in Vientiane...
Read more3 nights stayed in Ibis during my business trip in VTE. The welcome of Hotel GM was hospitalized and profession. Room was cleaned and spacious enough. Bed and linen are very comfortable except the pillow. Staff are nice and friendly. The location is quite flex to any other places. Overall experienced was good enough. I just a bit confused in regard the bar operation hours , i was asking to one of the staff at the bar to get me a bottle of beer at night time around like 12:30am but he mentioned the bar was closed. I was not disappointed coz near there are many places to drink still up open. Another day, around 10:30pm i came back from outside , i accidentally asked to one of the staff about the operation hours of the bar because i saw some people was sipping their drinks that time. She said 24 hours opened. I was like " ????? ". I have no ideas which was the right info for me. However, i did not have my drinks there. Breakfast was good and hygiene. BTW, the drinking water bottle in the...
