G Star Motel — Hotel in Borneo

This motel get low reviews but considering the rate, I took my chance & I don't regret it. My single bed room is clean & spacious. Aircon is fast cold with functioning remote. Water kettle available in room. This is a old motel but obviously the owner has taken the effort to refurbish it, within budget. Big, old style bathroom with bathtub that can't be used, a reminder of the heyday of this hotel, maybe. The bathroom door can't be closed from the outside since the latch has been taken out & painted over. A supermarket is just next door. The bus stop is a stone throw away; an important consideration for a backpacker like me. I may return back to this motel in...

“Great Stay, but the Location Could Be Better” Overall, I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The room was clean, the staff were friendly and attentive, and the amenities were excellent. The check-in and check-out process was smooth, and the service throughout was consistent and professional. However near to this hotel there are no muslim food and the parking is really hard to find. but its ok for me. I will come again to this place...

The room is somewhat spacious, and the bathroom is also moderately sized. However, I disliked the smell of cigarette smoke. The hallway leading to the room reeked of smoke, and the room itself had the same odor. The air conditioning was extremely cold and could not be adjusted as there was no remote control.
