First visit was excellent. Food are delicious. So we decide to visit again yesterday. At 5pm, called to reserve a table for 12 ppl and also reserved 2 set of crab that are under promotion. We also informed them that there is an elderly who cannot walk so we need a table at the ground floor. All our requests were take note by the receptionist and we were told they will prepare them accordingly. At 630pm, we arrived and only to find out that all the big tables were occupied and apparently no table is reserved for us. The only one that know our reservation was currently taking order from the other customers and there rest of the crew seem like do not know anything and cannot do anything about it. After a while, the lady attended us and ask us if we can sit upstairs. It was very disappointed that our reservation was indeed not recorded or not attended to. We eventually agreed to sit upstairs as the elderly did not manage to join us for dinner. We went upstairs and food ordered. after few minutes, we were told that there is no crab available. It was disappointed that our reservation is again not attended to. So we quickly ask for the menu and decide to order other dishes. To our horror, the only lady that can take order decide to attend to other customer in the midst of us ordering our food. As a result, we have to wait again. When she comes back, food ordered and promised that our order will follow our earlier sequent. Again, to our disappointment, we found out that the customer that came later and order the food later were served the food earlier. Eventually , we waited about 45 minutes before our food were served. It is really disappointed that the whole services of this place is in a mess. the only good part still is the food are actually...

Edited 13/10/2023: FUQI is now revamped with a brand new setting, where the interior is now air-conditioned. They have new Zhi Char & breakfast/drinks menu, too.

Finally gave their Zhi Char a try. Our orders:- Fried fish topped with crispy ginger and soy sauce base 🐟🫚 Crispy mantis prawn 🦐 Deep-fried pork ribs 🐷: A bit tough to chew Sambal kangkung belacan: Full of flavor! Shrimp sauce fried chicken: Nothing to shout out about

The dishes were mostly decent. The fried chicken seemed cold (mostly prepared in advance). The pork ribs were chewy and quite tough, so not for the elderly. The mantis prawn was decent, but the highlights were the fresh deep-fried fish and flavorful kangkung belacan.

We reached before 7pm on a Friday evening and easily found a table, though the crowd started trickling in as it got late, so be early if you hate waiting. Apparently they allow you to call and make table reservations.

FUQI whips up good toast and coffees at kopitiam prices!

Try their Ho Kar Sai; at only RM3.70, the cup of coffee+tea+milo combo packs strong (gao) flavors. Their toasts are good; look at the thick slices of butter in between.

🤫 There's 1 special menu that's only available on request; tell the Kakak you want "Kopi Satu Malaysia" (RM5) - this version is so gao it makes you wanna come back for more.

There aren't many food stalls on offer though the Pan Mee deserves special mention. Tried their spicy-dry Mee Hoon Kueh; it was value for money! At RM8, the bowl comes with an egg and generous portion of ingredients.

Crowd can get big on weekends where seats are somewhat limited. Parking should be no problem,...

Visited a Zi Zar restaurant with air conditioning—a comfortable setting that’s great for enjoying a meal. The prices are reasonable, and all the dishes were very well-prepared and suited my taste perfectly.

Order Review:

Signature Chicken Wing (5/5): These wings were outstanding, with flavors infused deep into the meat. The saltiness was perfectly balanced. I could easily finish 5 or 6 pieces on my own.

Seafood Pot (5/5): Ordered the Asam Nyonya Seafood Pot, which included fish slices, shrimp, and sotong. While the seafood seemed to be frozen, the portions were very generous, and the sauce was incredibly flavorful. Absolutely no complaints about this dish.

Hotplate Tofu: A simple yet satisfying dish. The sauce was well-balanced, not overly salty, and complemented the soft tofu beautifully.

Overall, the meal was highly enjoyable, with delicious flavors and a comfortable dining environment. I’d definitely recommend...

Paid RM196 for 3 persons dinner. Took the crab promo of 3 for RM98. The chilli crab sauce was sweet and spicy, good to go with buns. The crab was fresh except they were a bit small and posed some difficulty in eating. The ice cube sweet and sour pork was ok. Salted egg sotong was really good - crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside and flavourful. The stir-fried kang kong was delicious too. Service was friendly and efficient. The lady boss specially opened the upper floor for us and another table (also group of 3). But, the upper floor was stuffy and smelt of fresh paint when we initially went up. After 30 minutes or do, it was ok. The waitress waited patiently for us to finish our food (only table left) as we took longer than usual to finish our crabs. The waiting time for our food to be served was normal.
