Went there for dinner around 7+ near 8pm. Poor experience because they had limited food items left, not enough vegetables, no noodle dishes. Understandable since they said there were a lot of singaporean customers in the day.
However, I find that it’s not ok for them to let us order Luo Han Zhai (Buddha’s delight dish) when they know they cannot make the proper dish. I’ve never seen one like that. It’s just a stir fry mixed veg dish. What is a luo Han Zhai dish without items like black fungus, baby corn, glass noodles, tau kee? I hope they could be more honest about the vegetable choices that they have and not cook randomly to what we ordered.
Herbal monkey head mushroom tasted average. A little plain on the herbal taste. Could do better with some dang gui.
Claypot tofu tasted good, typical to what you’d find everywhere.
Shark fin soup was good. I’d order it again if I ever come back.
They have small and big rice. Small rice is a really small portion so beware to check with them if you order a small rice.
Lastly, we did check with one of the staff regarding the Luo Han Zhai dish that lacks of quality and authenticity. She said she’ll feedback but the people in the kitchen (or perhaps she meant the owner/boss) are hard to speak to, meaning to say her feedback’s won’t really be heard.
I believe their stir fry noodles or rice might be better tasting than the ala carte dishes. But I think overall to do well as a business, one should be honest to customers.
Even with our feedback and obvious disappointment, they didn’t offer to discount the stir fry vege (Luo Han Zhai). I mean it’s for sure not hard to notice our disappointment considering there were only around two or three tables of customers of 2-4pax.

Really recommend asking the lady boss for her recommendations — some of the good stuff not even on the menu! They’re still updating it I think. Place not noisy, quite chill and good for chit-chat. Definitely will...
