Made a reservation with full payment on 14th Feb 2024 for my guest for a stay from 16th to 18th Feb 2024. However, upon check-in on 17th Feb 2024, 1 am, the staff name Ain told me that the room is under maintenance so my guest need to pay more to upgrade the room. Usually, hotels will offer a free upgrade for this kind of situation because of their internal problem. However, she stands firm that we can either pay to upgrade or request for refund from Agoda (which is not possible as my reservation was non-refundable kind). Been on negotiating till about 2 am and my guest really needs to get some rest after a long day travelling, so we agreed to pay more to settle quick with request to have a look at the room, to see if it's really under maintenance. Staff Ain told us that the Maintenance guy holds the key, so she will show us by the next day. Until the day my guest checked out, they proof nothing to us despite we kept asking. Read moreLocation is good within walking distance to the Central & main bus station (express busses/ busses to Singapore/etc) at Larkin. ||||Hotel facilities - acceptable with free water bottle in room, small fridge, aircond, small fan, tv, basic tea/coffee making, toothbrush & soap. No shampoo or hanger/small cabinet but you can hang your clothes behind the door. ||||Cleanliness- not good because there are many small cockroaches (4-6) crawling around the main entrance & towards the toilet. Bedsheet use has holes. ||||Reception-ok but not so friendly. No smiles on their faces. Hotel has no lifts-need to climb up the staircase to get to the rooms. Hotel don’t accept credit card. Read moreVery bad experience with the receptionist. Very rude. She giving the wrong key(wrong room) but she called me and scold me with angry sound.
Somemore “instructed” to quickly move all my belonging down to the reception from Level 2 all the way down immediately. End up changed the room for me which is just opposite. Why not just bring up the key to me?!
And also keep show me her angry face and blame me why never inform that was wrong room given !!! Hello ! How did I know !?
When I scold her back then she said she never scold me.
Last but not least , it’s really noisy even my room is in the middle of the level 2. Can’t sleep well.
