East Riverine Boutique Hotel — Hotel in Kuala Lumpur

Stayed on 25 June 2022, room number 215 (superior twin). Requested for a quiet room but was given a room facing the main street and monorail track. I was told my room was already preassigned before I check-in as the hotel was running full house. Do note that the hotel is situated next to the traffic light. I could not slept at all. No guest parking. A cash deposit RM50 was required.||||No hair dryer, safe deposit box and prayer mat (sejadah). A budget hotel could provide these must have room amenities. Just 1 hanger was given and no small square cushion as advertised in hotel's website. 2 small water bottles 238 ml provided instead of standard size 500 ml and no tea bags. The room was dark at night with 2 ceiling spot lights and a table lamp. Every thing had to place on floor as no wardrobe, just a hanging rail for clothes. The bathroom was flooded every time I took shower.||||When I wanted to pay for breakfast set RM10 at the reception and was told by the reception staff, Mohd the restaurant was full house. Then, I asked if I could get the 10% discount at Sugar Bun restaurant for hotel guest and he said my room was not eligible as I booked the lowest room category. However, the next morning when I dined at the restaurant and asked for breakfast. The restaurant staff told me I could just pay at restaurant or hotel reception and they were able to accept more guests. Also, I just need to show my hotel card to get 10% discount. No need any vouchers. So, if your room is not included breakfast, just pay RM10 for breakfast set at Sugar Bun restaurant. Breakfast time is from 7.30 - 10.00 am.||||The male and female housekeepers I met on 25 June 2022 about 4.30pm were much more friendly and polite than the reception staff. The venue, ambience, staff was great but the amenities was of minimum of quality. Parking is at your own risk opposite the building (we can't argue the room rates here) The air-conditioned was out of service, though when I called room service. A lady called back and said ....

" I have stayed in that room before and the air-conditioned take time to cool. It was faulty before and we have repaired it"

I explained to her, it doesn't make sense, the small room is not cold after 2 hours checking in; even my daughter's room took 15 - 30 mins to cool.

She resorted to have a technician come over to my room to check but within 15 mins or so she called me back, telling me same thing about she stayed here before for which I was already agitated; I even asked her to come to my room and feel the air. It was only blowing air, like a fan.

And finally it was resolved by upgrading me to a premier room which the air-conditioner had the same issue, a brand SonneAir and also blew like a air humidifier cool-like air. Well, I stayed till the next day.

I did my own investigation since I took engineering and turns out it is a Hybrid Type air conditioner, being larger systems with greater amounts of refrigerant, often in commercial or industrial buildings; a hybrid solution is unlikely to be the most cost-effective solution for a smaller application, such as a single unit in a single office where a single split-system may be more appropriate..

Please use the normal single brand air conditioner rather than this type that is mainly used in factory or a big sized office.

The temperature shows 17c but it was like 27c. Humid!
