While our stay had some positives, there are several areas that need urgent attention to match the hotel's 4-star rating. ||The Good:|- Rooms are clean and well-maintained. |- Restaurant staff are nice and helpful|providing good service. |- Great location with a lot of potential for a premium experience. ||Areas Needing Improvement:||1. Hygiene & Cleanliness:|- The toilet floors need proper sanitization—they often felt sticky and unclean. |- We spotted a cockroach near the toaster machines, which were also dirty and in need of replacement. |- The kitchen hygiene should be inspected, and pest control may be necessary. ||2. Food & Dining:|- Limited food choices—adding waffles, pancakes with chocolate sauce, and Teh Tarik flasks would be great. |- Bread options are lacking—please include whole wheat and brown sliced bread. |- Vegetables are dry and portions are too small—they should be served in larger plates to prevent them from drying out quickly. ||3. Unfriendly Reception Staff:|- The receptionists were often aggressive and unapproachable, making simple inquiries feel like a burden. |- A smile, patience, and polite communication could drastically improve guest experience—hospitality is key! ||4. Outdated & Cheap Decor:|- The plastic flowers and fake trees look tacky and should be replaced with classy vases or modern decor for a fresher look. |- The plastic bottle "artwork" in the reception is hideous—it resembles a school project, not a 4-star hotel centerpiece! ||Final Thoughts:|This hotel has a great location and foundation, but attention to cleanliness, food quality, staff training, and decor upgrades would make a huge difference. With these changes, it could truly shine as a 4-star destination. ||Would I stay again? No, only if significant improvement were taken to be qualified as a...
Read moreI stayed at this hotel for four nights during my Malaysian trip. The booking was done by our tour agent, and for the money we paid, I feel they chose a very cost-effective option. It’s a 4-star rated property, and when I shared the hotel details with our Malaysian friends, they all had good opinions about it.
In my experience, the hotel is not as bad as some reviews suggest. The service and amenities are good for the price. The rooms have slightly old interiors and technology (maybe 20–30 years old), but everything is functional. One of our rooms was small, but still adequate for a family to stay comfortably for 3–4 nights.
There’s an Indian restaurant called Zaika on 10th floor, and the hotel breakfast was decent, not luxurious, but definitely worth the price. The housekeeping team kept the rooms clean throughout our stay. The day we arrived, it was nearly 10:45 am and they serve breakfast till 10.30 only. But the hotel staff managed to keep the staffs and they prepared some breakfast for us, which is really commendable.
A few points to note: Laundry is sent to an outside vendor, so it takes two days to return. Guests staying for short trips should plan accordingly.
The Indian restaurant gets very crowded during breakfast and dinner, especially with large groups of bachelors. As a family, we felt some uncomfortable stares from fellow tourists (not staff), so I’d recommend avoiding peak hours if this bothers you.
Other than these points, everything was fine. The location is very convenient, with many Indian restaurants and other dining options nearby. Overall, a good...
Read moreIf anyone from India is travelling in this hotel. Let me tell u. 90% of staff is Indian. So let me begin why the hotel sucks. First of all we had to wait on the lobby for 2 hours because the check in time of hotel was 2 P. M. Second u have to put your room keycard in elevator to make it work. Which was very inconvenient because the system was very old and it was not able to detect any card. After 9-10 tries we could get to our room. This was not the case with just us. But with everyone who tried access the lift.
Third, if u are Indian and veg. Forget it. Don't stay there. They serve the worst veg food I've ever tasted in my life. I had free coupons for dinner and breakfast there. But the food was so bad that I went outside to eat.
Fourth, the staff was very rude and unfriendly. One even tried to con us by giving us low amount of currency in exchange of our currency. And when we asked for room service from reception they replied rudely by saying u just St had it. U can't have it again. There is nothing to see nearby. Please save your money and stay in any other hotel. This is worst...
