to owner : as i mention in my review, your soup is not authentic at all, taste nothing like the real one, this alone ady really piss me off.
Your ramen soup only have the color of a tonkotsu ramen , but taste is NOTHING NEAR the real tonkotsu ramen. where is the umami taste ??? the suppose umami taste is not there at all. i bring my friend here and we both agree the taste is really bad, very disappointing. Such ramen can only cheat those that never have tasted real ramen. seriously, how dare you call such raman as tonkotsu ramen? Myself feel really ashamed cuz i'm the one suggest to come to your restaurant and try your ramen when visit the garden. such Ramen at 4 or 5 star? really? get the hell out of here.
also forget to mention in my previous review; your dumpling is bad as well, way too soggy to be called a dumpling.
by any chance you think the taste is improved, reply here and let me know , will edit review accordingly.
Friendly staff, but below average ramen at premium price. We try here since review seems promising, but seriously who ever rate such food at 4 or 5 star either have no taste bud, or never have tried a better ramen. And no, such ramen do not deserve 4 or 5 star, the taste is not authentic at all, and soup? no flavour. And do not try to cover that by saying there is no MSG in it or something, other ramen shop manage to produce soup with better taste without MSG. The only food that is good is one from the side dish which looks like fried chicken, the meat is well marinated, juicy and tender. But again when I pay rm30+ for a bowl of ramen, I expect the main dish to taste good as well. If only these food taste as good as...
Read moreI had a meal at Ippudo located in The Gardens Mall, and overall, it was a mixed experience. I ordered the pork chop rice, which unfortunately turned out to be quite disappointing. The pork chop lacked the satisfying texture you’d expect—it was so soft and mushy that it resembled processed or synthetic meat rather than a freshly grilled cut. It didn’t have much flavor either, which made the dish feel underwhelming and not up to standard.
Thankfully, the appetizers helped redeem the meal a bit. I tried the grilled shishamo (Japanese smelt) and some dried fish, and both were surprisingly good. The shishamo had a nice smoky aroma and was grilled just right, while the dried fish had a rich umami flavor that paired well with the drinks.
Speaking of drinks, I ordered a whiskey cocktail and a highball. They were decent—not particularly memorable, but they did the job. The whiskey cocktail had a balanced taste, and the highball was refreshing enough to complement the meal.
In summary, while the starters and drinks were enjoyable, the main dish really fell short. I’d consider going back for the small bites and beverages, but I’d probably skip the pork chop...
Read moreI was quite disappointed with their service and food.
I visited at 9:00 pm sharp and ordered a tenderloin set. The food was just so-so, the portion was smaller than at other branches, and the staff seemed poorly trained.
I asked Staff A for a refill of cabbage and miso soup, but only received the cabbage. So I asked Staff B again for the miso soup refill, and I even heard him place the order with the kitchen. However, after waiting 10 minutes, the miso soup still hadn’t been served.
By around 9:20 pm, the staff had already started preparing for closing. Yet no one informed me whether the refill was still available. Only when I asked Staff B again did he say, “It’s finished. If you want it, I can ask the kitchen to make it for you.”
Honestly, why didn’t they just tell me earlier? They seemed eager to get off work and made me feel unwelcome...
