Long term review - stayed here in all towers and nearly all possible room types and configurations over several years and know many other residents and airbnb guests:
Nice place but if you stay longer you‘ll notice maintenance is poor. Some things are always broken (whirlpool, speakers, elevator, aircon in elevators, doors, garbage/refuse room stinks and is full with trash, cockroaches lying around for days, broken wooden beams). Fire doors with big signs on them that they should be closed at all times are always ajar and make annoying beeping sounds but staff likes to leave them always open because they are too lazy to use the door handle/card to open them. Isolation is also bad. If you are unlucky and have a loud neighbour on your or the next floor you’ll hear them very clearly. Lights in the public areas are never switched on/off properly (many are switched on during the whole day, others are never or randomly switched on at night but only if someone complains and asks if it could please be switched on. People are very often just sitting in the dark because of that). Music that is played everywhere is nice but the playlist got around 10 songs and if you stay here for longer you will be able to sing all of them which is a bit annoying. All of this is compared to the price clearly not the best option you can get in KL. It’s a shame as most of these things could be solved and repaired so easily with a little bit of care but that’s just not happening and as people living here are mostly Airbnb and short stayers no one really cares. The wooden beams at the pools for example could just be repaired/replaced if broken and painted/glazed once a year and they would look like new again (could be done in one afternoon with low cost).
Cleaning here is a joke. If you’ve experienced a room „cleaning“ here like me several times you would never pay for that. Doesn’t really matter which company it does and if it’s called „deep cleaning“ or whatever. It’s a joke. They send people who were never taught how to clean a room properly like in a hotel. On the surface it might look ok but how they do it is disgusting. They for example use the same cleaning rag for any surface. They have no idea what hygiene means. Just clean the place yourself if you want to be sure. Especially in the kitchen and bathroom or you might get sick!!
One of the best things about this place was the long opening hours of the facilities which is very nice if you have to work long but they have been shortened now as well. Mostly snooty tourists and airbnb here. There are way better options for the price!
Was seriously considering to buy an apartment here but because of all this and management not really caring to maintain and repair things properly I changed my mind :( It just never looks like on the advertisement. Some things are always broken and are just not getting repaired like the mentioned whirlpools...
Read moreWorse purchase decision I have ever made in my life. First-class infrastructure with third-class administration. A significant number of units are being used as Airbnb and short-term rentals to people from 3rd world countries and at this rate should be reported to government authorities. The management of the condo fails to maintain the residential character of the building, have turned it into a cheap motel-like lodging environment. So much added wear and tear to the building - short-term guests use the elevators like it is some service lift, they bring stuff i.e., luggage etc. into the building and they do this on a more frequent basis than actual residents.
Most of these tourists try to be discreet, hoping to blend in with the residents and treat the condo like a hotel. They expect to make full use of all the facilities available and wish to get maximum value from the peanuts they have paid to homestay operators. There had been reports of police raiding drug-fueled parties held inside this supposedly luxury condominium as well. Many outsiders enter and leave freely just like a hotel (or motel), the security is easily compromised, and some visitors are a bad influence, especially on children from the way they carry themselves.
Condo board be made of people from the facilities management (Henry Butcher) and the developers’ agents that do not actually work in the residents' favor.
Also, the 2 Malays ladies that are sometimes at the front desk, both are a real piece of work; the most ill-mannered and rude, just unwilling to be polite. Mind you, you are the face of the residency when you are sitting there, and it is in your job description to be polite! Learn a thing or two from the otherwise pleasant foreign guards since you have the time to pretend looking busy sitting there!
Certainly not a condominium meant for residents to...
Read moreI am writing my review after renting an apartment for a year, for a very long time we chose an apartment for a long stay, after a long analysis we stopped at star residences, the house has a fairly convenient location, it is located next to the metro and there are grocery stores nearby, but the house has one very serious problem - its incredible overcrowding, there are a lot of airbnb apartments and there is a constant influx of people, it is impossible to use the pools, they are always crowded, it happens that it is impossible to take and swim along the pools. the constant movement of tourists and the noise from the trolleys along the corridor. there are a lot of incomprehensible people walking past tourists around the facility who clearly do not live here, but only discuss airbnb apartments, there is a lot of discomfort and noise from them, they often gather in their groups in the lounge area and take places, I know quite a few families who ran away from this house just because they had such neighbors. There are crowds of people with suitcases around, all this creates the feeling that this place does not belong to its inhabitants but you live at the train station. Elevators, speakers often break down in the house, false alarms are triggered and electricity is turned off, dirty trash cans, all this is true. At first glance, this house seemed like a good solution and we hurried to conclude a contract for 2 years, now we regret it very much. The rental amount for KL is not very small, for this amount you can rent a house much quieter and more premium, I suspect that this cost is associated with the metro and the twin towers nearby. I will not recommend this house for...
