MM Heritage Hotel — Hotel in Melaka Island (Twin Island City Centre)

We stayed here for 5 days, because we were into some comfort. But unfortunately we didn't received comfort at all. Actually the only positive part of our stay was the very friendly staff at the breakfast. Thank you so much for your effort and kindness.

We were disappointed that in 5 days of our stay we didn't had once new towels. Even after asking on day 4 they responded af the front task that they don't know where the towels are so we can't get new ones?!

The location is not good, of course you know it in advance. But a lot of shops and restaurants are closed. To find a grab was difficult because we got often cancelled because they don't want to drive all the way into this area.

The wifi connection is really bad, a video call wasn't even possible, therefore I had to use my own data which didn't had a proper connection in the building.

We had one day no water at all, we received a call at 7:30 that there won't be water until 12:30 but in the end there was even longer no water.. It lasted the whole day. (this is not possible when guests have appointments as well, our at least tell us a day in advance about it so we can prepare ourselves/shower)

Some tips: please take care that someone at the front desk is able to speak a bit of English. Not much required but basics would be comfortable to make communication with non Malay tourist a bit easier. for example they told us at the reception that breakfast was at 9, so we came at 9 and there was nothing left? the next day we came earlier but even at 7:30 there were already people before us. I guess we will never know when it starts.. we had to pay different taxes when arriving and we didn't know about it. It would be great if someone could have explained it. Because we are used to different taxes in Malaysia bit this one was quite high.. Same for the very high deposit that we had to pay. (and even had to ask for it to get it back? Because they “forgot”)

the rooftop swimming pool area is really dirty, when walking bare feet over the tiles I got black feet because of the dust. Don't get me even started about the bathrooms/changing rooms at the rooftop swimming pool. I don't think some cleaned there for a long time, the staff should have a look there once, because its unacceptable. (its actually sad because it has a lot of potential to be great.)

the promised gym is more used as a sleepingroom by the staff, we had to skip our workout twice because it was “occupied”.

We understand that there is a renovation going on, but it makes the stay for guest uncomfortable.

We were unfortunately not satisfied...

We checked in on 30/08 and out on 01/09/2025, a 2 nights' stay in room 236. The room no doubt was huge and well furnished with all amenities but the toilet bowl was blocked both days even when maintenance came to repair but was blocked again thereafter. On 31/08 morning we had breakfast at 9:00a.m. but there was no refilling done even tough breakfast commenced from 6:30am to 10:30am as stated.. Breakfast was not as expected, poor. We were out all day and on returning back to our room at around 11:00pm, no housekeeping service was provided at all. We had to call to request for housekeeping for towels and shampoo/bath gel for shower. However, the housekeeping cart came with a maintenance staff by the name of Luqman, He apologised, told us that there were so many complains and he tried to help. We felt sorry for him so we did not ask him to do cleaning or making up the bed but just to deliver the necessary items for our shower. Front officer staff did not apologise. Upon checking out on 01/09/25, we again mentioned to the Front Office staff and we were told that we either have to inform the front desk if we need housekeeping service and that the reason could be that they are running full house.. There was no "Housekeeping" or" Do Not Disturb" door knob available. We checked in, pay full rate and definitely expect to be provided services. If running full house, housekeeping staff should stay for OT or they need to bring in part timers to provide the services expected by every guest. Our 2 nights' stay was totally a great disappointment and a disaster...a nightmare...each time we flushed the toilet bowl the water rose ' unable to drain out!!! Hoteliers, please do not sell your room if in such a condition! No more return stay from...

This is a terrible and disgusting hotel. There are all these rules about damaging property items like towels and bedding when they can't even provide clean towels OR bedding. Upon arrival, I found stains and hair on the beds and towels. I had to let the hotel know because it was unusable and in case they were going to blame me for those things. They did offer a new room for me and my family to switch to, but it was just as bad. I even found a bug crawling on the pillow.

It also doesn't seem like they clean anything because the carpet is filthy, the toilets in the lobby are probably better than the ones in the rooms, and the fridge looks like it's never been cleaned since it got installed. The sink water also came out yellow the first time around.

Find a different hotel if you can. This isn't worth it at all. Don't get fooled by their modern, seemingly nice lobby. The staff was...
