I've been eager to experience a short getaway at the Eco Tree Hotel, thanks to the recommendation. Luckily, I secured a reasonable rate, especially considering it was a Friday stay right before a public holiday. Consequently, I decided to take the plunge.||Here's what impressed me:|1. The overall condition of the hotel is well-maintained.|2. The check-in and check-out process was quick, that's all.|3. The room was quite nice offering: plenty of space, the air-conditioning system worked well, and excellent water pressure for a hot shower as well.|4. The hotel offers open-air private parking conveniently situated behind the property, and there's a friendly and helpful attendant at the guardhouse.|5. The hotel's strategic location provides easy access to numerous good dining options, convenience stores, and even nearby reflexology centers.||Areas that could use improvement:|1. Room cleanliness needs attention; I found unidentified hairs in the bed, which was quite off-putting.|2. The inability to lock the doors to the toilet and bathroom was inconvenient.|3. The limited selection of only four TV channels was disappointing.|4. The breakfast spread itself offered very few choices while the coffee served was quite enjoyable.|5. A more secure designated storage area for luggage would be greatly appreciated.||Above all, I would like to highlight that the front desk team could greatly benefit from being more tactful, friendly, and approachable. The overall arrival experience left much to be desired and was deeply disappointing, despite the swift check-in process.||Upon making our reservation, we requested early check-in with full understanding that it was subject to approval, even though the official check-in time was 1500 hours. Consequently, we decided to register, deposit our luggage, and check out some nearby restaurants. When we got to the lobby, it was unusually quiet and devoid of guests, except for a family of three checking out, and my companion and me. In my turn, I walked up to the front desk and cordially mentioned my intention to check-in. To this, the front desk female attendant answered right away that our check-in time was 1500 hours and that we should return at that hour.||I reiterated my awareness of the check-in time but kindly requested to register and leave our luggage in their care. Unfortunately, her response was far from accommodating as she asserted that they were presently only processing check-outs. Her disinterest in further assisting us was evident, leading me to conclude that I should simply return at 1500 hours as she had suggested. When I inquired about the location of the luggage storage room, her reply was curt, merely gesturing toward an area with a glass door, positioned beneath a staircase and opposite the reception area. I couldn't help but feel uncertain about the safety of leaving our belongings there, especially given her uncooperative attitude. Without offering a luggage tag, I took a leap of faith and left our luggage in the designated area.| |This whole interaction was unpleasant and aloof. Solid 4/5 rating. We requested for the highest floor and they delivered, the view isn't the most attractive since the highest floor for rooms is only level 7, level 9 is the swimming pool FYI. We were recommended 2 interconnecting rooms in booking.com. for a family of 4. They have their own hotel parking just behind the hotel itself ( outdoor parking only ). Check-in process was fairly simple and quick. Lift has no air-conditioning but it was fine since the highest floor is only the 9th floor. When we first entered the rooms we found out there was a thick smoke/fog, turns out its just the leftover smoke/fog after they sanitize the rooms. It dispersed quickly after turning on the air-conditioning. Here are my Pro's and Con's. Pros : 1. Room was clean and dust free 2. Modern room design 3. Decent view ( got sea view if facing sea ) 4. Air-conditioning is working well ( Cool enough and easily adjustable ) 5. Tap water (sink), shower have good water heating ( good water heater ) and water pressure is strong 6. Bed is comfortable and blanket is thick 7. Alot of power socket - 6 total per room ( all universal so no need to bring adapter ) 8. Since we are still in endemic phase, very quiet to get good sleep since no disturbance from other guest or traffic. 9. Got refrigerator ( Brand : Morgan ), hair dryer, Iron, tv and towels provided 10. Hotel location is very good since its in central town with alot of restaurants nearby ( walking distance to convenient store and clinic ) Cons : 1. Some things like door frame, tissue bix and kettle are worn-out, not in tiptop condition But within acceptable range 2. Blanket and pillow have a little smell 3. The way(design) they cover the toilet area does not give 100% privacy ( see picture provided ) people outside the toilet can duck under and see through the glass 4. Wifi is not stable ( speed is fast like normal browsing was fine but watching live stream and video not stable ) 5. The door of the dedicated shower room is not properly designed causing water to leak out to the dry area of the toilet making the area wet 6. TV program is very limited ( for us is fine because we use phone ) 7. Upper part of the window was not cleaned properly ( see picture provided ) 8. Not all the facility is open ( EX: cafe ) swimming pool and gym still open 9. View still not the best considering there are some abandoned buildings around the hotel and not close to the seaside plus only has 9 floors Overall was a pleasant 3 days 2 nights stay. Enjoyed it! If you are the one that is very particular in room cleanliness, then you will be just fine here. But if u came here for the facilities and view, then is not the greatest.

“Don’t judge the book by it’s cover” This really applies to Eco Tree Hotel. It is located 10 mins walk from Dataran Pahlawan Mall where you go shopping and watch movies (GSC). 1 min walk to your favorite 24hrs convenient store 7-eleven. 3 mins walk to Me’nate Steaks where you can have your delicious and juicy Wagyu steak. Location wise, no doubt. Tip top!! The room, complete with multinational plugs (no need to worry about your electronic devices), hair dryer, water heater, small fridge/minibar, efficient climate control, coffee and tea, coffee table with comfortable cushion, and bathroom with censored glass wall (feel a bit weird but it’s okay for couples). Facilities are also great. Swimming pool open from 7am to 7pm (to comply government Covid 19 SOP). Rooftop deck for amazing view!!! Gym with complete exercise equipment and machines (weights, cycling, treadmill, chest mashine workout and many more). Overall, AMAZING!!
