Leisure Lodge — Hotel in Terengganu

To be honest I felt cheated because I thought I was paying rm70 for the room not per bed. The booking made it seem like I was getting the room but when I got there I realized it was actually a hostel. If you are more than one person or traveling with a family I’d skip this place as this is a backpacker hostel vibe. The bathroom and common areas are shared. The water pressure is terrible and water isn’t hot. If you come back late someone will have already taken a shower and the floor is wet if you need to use the restroom. They charge rm5 for towels if you forget to bring your own. But the common area is nice with pool table and many games with tv. This is per bunk bed and not all bunk beds come with a room. Some are just all in a huge room and the only thing giving you privacy is a small curtain. I’m giving this 5 stars because if you are a solo traveler and want to save cash. This is the spot to be since it’s clean and they offer free coffee. It’s nice and central as Chinatown is only a 5 min walk. Unfortunately I came during Raya and this is an Islamic state so everything was pretty much closed. Like even the shopping mall and McDonald’s was closed…wtf. If you want food recommendations I’d check out Google maps, zie cafe or antik cafe are nice. There is also a 7-11 and dominos pizza right next door. But overall you can walk everywhere as this city isn’t that big. Hope this...

The room picture published in booking.com website/app is inaccurate from what we got, not as advertised.The room we booked (Superior Family) was expected to have sufficient walking space and luggage space as shown in the booking app. However, the room that we got in the end was small, size and space of the room for 4 pax is too uncomfortable to live for long duration ie 5 days 4 nights.

When we spoke to the person in charge at counter, the person insist that no one ever complained about the room that it is not the same as advertise in booking.com. They also did not admit or emphatize that what we experienced was indeed misinformed and misleading. No compensation received or ever an apology. Their only justification was that, the room we got is priced the same as the room we are expected to received. They also noted that they have too many varieties of room picture that they cannot published on Booking.com

There was also guest who lives in the lodge, was smoking right outside of the door entrance and shoe shelf. This had made other guest uncomfortable and frankly annoyed.

Few hours my comment was submitted in booking.com I received a notification that they cancelled the booking? Whereas I've already paid in full and stayed at the place as per booking. Not sure if there was a glitch or the owners took our feedbacks...

Located upstairs of Domino's pizza and there is 7-eleven at the same block, so I think the place is safer compared to other places with nearby shops close really early and dark at night. China town and bus station are within walking distance.

It is not a big place but the size is just nice! Beds and pillows are very comfortable, there're sockets, hangers, reading lamp and locker (you need to prepare your own lock) next to every bed. Three VERY CLEAN hot water shower rooms/toilet with hair shampoo and body soap provided. Drinking water dispenser (and mugs), Wifi, and even hair dryer are available. Books and board games (and congkak!) available in the common area, good for friends traveling in group. There's an small area to dry your wet clothes if you have any.

You can hear sound of cars from the open dorm because the dorm is closer to the main road. Choose private room or 2 bunk beds dorm if you prefer...
