In the heart of old Valletta lies Maison La Vallette which is one of the three properties owned by Brian and Stephen of Valletta suites. M.L.V. was immaculate and decorated with a European swankiness found in movies and magazines. The property has a bedroom, kitchen area, living room and bathroom which makes space not an issue at all. Privacy and security are also assets to this charming first floor apartment which is near everything in Valletta. ||The owners helped us immensely on our honeymoon when we were in a tough situation regarding another booking. They even came and picked us up personally and brought us to M.L.V. after hours. Brian and Stephen are fantastic! They met me at Lucia Nova when I arrived; showed me the gorgeous apartment; provided a map with places of interest, restaurants, phone numbers, etc. They checked in with me during my stay to see if I needed anything. They even celebrated my birthday with me! And they arranged a taxi for my departure which was very early in the morning. Lucia Nova is incredible. Not only beautiful and with all amenities but in a great location, with a view of the sea, a little bakery/convenience store across the street, and just a few blocks away from Republic Street. We spent 4 nights here and I recommend it highly. The owners, Stephen and Brian, have created a lovely apartment in walking distance to Valletta itself, the main bus terminal and the ferry lines. The bed was very comfortable, the coffee excellent, etc. we combined our stay here with four other nights across the bay in Sliema, and this was perfect for us. While the two places were really very close, we got a different experience from each. By the way, old guide books may suggest Valletta closes down early. No longer true.
