My experience at Nueve 25 Guanajuato, where I've frequented several times, has been truly remarkable. Situated in the heart of town, the hotel boasts stunning architecture reminiscent of a beautiful Guanajuato museum. On entering the premises, guests are greeted by an elegant bar to the right and the reception area upfront. While I often brought my guests to the rooftop bar, I harbored a long-standing desire to enjoy a drink at the entrance bar. However, during my recent visit with friends from California, I discovered that this bar, much like the rest of the hotel, is solely for exhibition purposes. Despite my request to indulge in a drink there, I was met with incredulity from the hostess. After some negotiation, we settled for gin and tonic instead of martinis, given the complexity of the drinks and the apparent stress it caused. Although the staff eventually agreed to make the drinks on the third floor bar and bring them down, their lack of attention and prolonged wait left us feeling neglected. Despite inquiries, the promised drinks never materialized, and we were left disappointed by the indifferent service. This experience epitomizes the detached and lackadaisical service that seems to be a recurring theme at Nueve 25 Guanajuato. It's akin to visiting a museum solely to admire the art without any expectation of interaction. If you choose to visit this establishment, appreciate its aesthetic charm, but don't anticipate...
Read moreFrom the moment my partner and I checked in, until the moment we left, Nueve 25 Hotel Boutique exceeded our expectations on every level. We travel abroad frequently and the level of personal service we received was unmatched (even by five star branded hotel standards). The property is directly in the center of the action, is stunningly beautiful and the rooms are luxurious and hip with super comfy beds. We experienced no noise from our room which is exceptional given all the entertainment, singing callejoneadas and mariachis. We walked everywhere from this perfect, stunning location amid the gorgeous landmarks. Despite the beauty, comfort and convenience, the biggest stand-out was Jade. She provided us with so much local information, the best places for authentic food, helped us with many personalized "extras" and greeted us each morning and night with a smile, enthusiasm and more recommendations. She was sincere, had a delightful energy, was eager to help us and is the best breath of fresh air we've experienced in the industry. All of the staff were equally attentive and provided additional help with our arrangements getting out of town and on to SMA. We would recommend this hotel and Jade for the most discerning traveler. Special note - if you want a legit authentic Mexican experience instead of tourist trap norms, Jade is your girl. Many thanks to all of you for a stand-out stay. We'll be back because...
Read moreTrying to get to the hotel was a little confusing due to the tunnels and a police officer blocking the main road to get to the hotel, but eventually we got there. There is no valet but you can park your car on the left side real quick and go inside to let them know you’ve arrived and they will park your car for you. ||We got greeted by a wonderful, very well spoken bilingual woman named Aileen. She was so helpful and informative. It was a huge plus for us to have someone speak English since my American boyfriend didn’t know Spanish. ||The rooms were extremely clean and had all the amenities that we needed for our stay. If you forgot something at home, they most likely had it. We loved that the hotel was RIGHT in the middle of the city. Everything is walking distance. ||Now for the cons… ||We booked 3 massages and the spa room only fit 1. I would have wanted to at least have had a couples massage but they accommodated it in our room. It wasn’t as relaxing as we would have wanted it. The masseuses did a great job tho. ||There was also an extremely loud noise coming from the room upstairs, it seemed like someone was moving/building furniture. It woke us up at 8 am and the noise got worse thru out the morning we couldn’t go back to sleep. ||Besides those things I would definitely recommend this hotel and I would have my family stay...
