We were sent to this hotel by our business partner in Mexico as a last resort, as all the other hotels closer to our destination were full already.||Well, there's probably a reason why all the other hotels were full but this one had pleny of vacancy.||||Location: really good for tourism and business. Only 100m away from Reforma Avenue, and 300m away from the Wax and Ripley's museums.||||The building: weird! weird! weird! This is a leaning building. It's impossible to notice from the outside, but once in my hotel room, I noticed something was wrong when all the doors closed by themselves. Having heard all the buzz about the 30 year anniversary of the big earthquake in Mexico, I was nothing short of scared that a new earthquake would finish the job. Well, maybe it's not that bad, but it sure makes your imagination run.||||Price: cheap, prices as low as $45 usd.||||Rooms: we were two people in our room, so we had a double with two double beds. Small uninteresting room, the two beds barely fit. No air condition (I learned later that some rooms do have A/C, but were a little more expensive). The small TV with 15 channels was a joke. Dated security box that still works. Had difficulties sleeping due to the city noise. OK bathroom with hot water. Nowhere to hang your clothes, and nowhere to put the luggage. ||||Food: my room included breakfast. Breakfast menu is very limited, and the food is not good. I decided to have breakfast there after all, as I had already paid for it, but next time I'd rather eat somewhere else... (oh wait, there won't be a next time at this hotel). Coffee is AWFUL.||||Service: lacking.||||Lobby: it seems that the hotel is being renovated, but never saw a single worker there. Scary-looking stairs at the first floor, and other unfished areas. Not a nice look.||||Wi-fi: to my astonishment, it worked well and never failed while I was there.||||Overall: only three good things: stable internet, price...
Read morePerfect location for visiting the major city points of interest. The bellmen and the bartender were nice, however the lady at the front desk looks upset all the time, looked bothered every time I asked a question (no, not a language barrier-I speak Spanish); breakfast is included, it's a good deal, but we would rather go out because of the BAD SERVICE, servers will not acknowledge you and they will have a very bad attitude. Don't expect a refill on your coffee or any follow up after your food is dropped to your table. So why should the severs care? It feels like the hotel management is pinching so many pennies they forgot what hospitality is. We asked for two cups of ice one night, but were told by the bartender he could only spare enough ice for one. You have to re-activate your room card everyday, otherwise you're locked out of your room. You have to pay for A/C and wait for someone to come up to your room and switch it on. You have to pay for a TV remote. Forget about towels..2 days with out it, if you ask for it either you get ignored or get the bad atitude of the front desk telling you they won't have any towels until the next day and you will have nothing to dry yourself, not even your hands .... however they are really attentive if someone visits you-if it's late they'll make sure to let you know you will be charged for the...
Read moreYou get what you pay for. You will see. The location is very good, just some steps to paseo reforma and you can even walk to Zona Rosa . All right.||All the rest ...forget about it. It caters to locals so do not expect anything.||They can not be picky.||No way ever to find a good night's sleep since there is no soundproofing at all. I mean it.||Stomping on the floors all night. Trampling on floors and nerves. Door-banging and then the cool construction site in front of you. Only 5 yards away from this hotel. Starts at 7.30 am ,never ends, not even saturdays. Wifi does never, never !!!! connect.||They have the capacity for 2 users in a hotel of 200 rooms or whatever.||I soeak spanish,so I don't care about not having any(!) english TV channels on the 15 or 17 inch TV.||Aircondtion ? No, what is that ? , Fridge ? No way . It is cheap but you don't get anything, not even rest. If you are used to hostals you will love it, if you prefer a real hotel pay 20 us more and avoid this place. .BREAKFAST REALLY NOT OKAY. I SKIPPED IT THE SECOND MORNING.||Really not to be recommended.||The staff wAS friendly, the room was clean. All the rest : a big, huge NO NO !!!||They try their best, unfortunately it is not good.||Two stars because...
