Entropia — Restaurant in Oaxaca

Entropy would describe our dinner here. We ordered, it was misunderstood or miscommunicated, wasn't clear which (fish was delivered, shrimp was ordered). We were warned it would be slow, which it was. The fish was served raw, except the outside couple of millimeters. Over-salted sauce, thick unpleasant ribbons of undressed raw purple cabbage. Asked to have the fish cooked and was told 'oh, you like it really really cooked' as if I was 'one of those'. I was annoyed and said this isn't sushi. Anyway, fish was then returned after a short visit to the microwave, which left it rubbery.

Drinks were nice. Server was otherwise nice. They were short staffed in the kitchen, so you may have better luck some other time, but then...

Multiple issues with this place. Beach is beautiful but the chairs and loungers were crap. My husbands broke when he moved the reclining section and they tried to blame it on us. They had nothing to replace it with so we had to use it the full day. Then we got 2 drinks with multiple hairs in them 🤢 and at the very end the server was trying to fight with us about payments of the drinks because they said we put our hair in them. Why would we do that and complain? The restrooms are disgusting with a lot of smell. And also no wifi which is super inconvenient when on vacay! There are so many other locations along this beach to try we do not recommend...

This is their latest location which is now on the beach. I've always loved their food. Great tasting and unique combination of Mexican and Mediterranean dishes. Favorites of ours are the "Costillas de Puerco Marinadas" and any of the "Papas" with Chipotle, Fundido or queso azul. The "Tacos de Camarones" are excellant. the specials they had of "Pollo Yassa" from Senagal and the "Caldo de Frel Camaron y Jaiba" were also very tasty. The Margarita Entropia, Tamirindo and Tropical as well are frozen and delicious. Desert is a must with the Profiteroles!. Service has always been good and friendly.
