Clean private room, but overpriced – beach club was a complete letdown!
I stayed here in a private room, which was clean and fairly comfortable, but honestly not worth the price given the overall hostel environment.
The real disappointment was the beach club. Service was shockingly bad. Drinks consistently took 20 minutes (or more) to arrive, and every single order I placed was wrong. I asked for a margarita without salt each time — every one arrived with salt. When I pointed it out, staff would just wipe the rim (letting salt fall into the drink) and tell me there was no salt, even though I could clearly taste it. When I insisted, they eventually brought the correct drink — no apology, no acknowledgment of the mistake.
It gets worse. When the staff shift changed, they insisted I pay immediately (presumably to ensure they got their tip). I had to wait 15 minutes inside at reception for the card machine to work. One drink and payment ended up taking 45 minutes. Still no apology.
Do yourself a favour — skip this place. Walk two bars up and you’ll find much better service, incredible food, and no minimum spend. A totally different vibe. I wish I’d gone...
Read moreI stayed at this hostel and worked from the beach club everyday for four days + three nights. The WiFi works great from down in the club but up in my room, it wasn’t great.
The staff are friendly, the location is incredible and the food is tasty. You’re obviously going to pay a premium since you’re sitting beachfront but it’s still cheaper than California prices.
I booked a private King room over the bar with a huge oceanfront balcony. It was $125/night which is double everything else in the hostel but in my opinion, totally worth it. Like I said, it’s cheaper than anything you’d get in California.
My room was clean and minimal with cute decor. The music at the beach club was loud but at least it was good :)
They have free yoga for guests and like to organize group activities. I would highly recommend for...
Read moreit‘s an okay hostel but way too expensive for what you get. the location is actually great - beachfront - but using one of the hostel’s daybeds on the beach comes at a hefty 250 pesos. There weren‘t enough sanitary facilities (one sink for several dorms) and they were quite rusty (the upstairs facilities were more modern though). There‘s too little space to hang wet clothes from the beach, so everybody has to use the chairs of the dining area. the kitchen was rather dirty and poorly equipped. I was surprised that it wasn‘t...
