Los Almendros — Restaurant in Oaxaca

They think they are a lot better than they really are.

Just to watch sports, if they put it. Went like six times the last 18 months, mostly to watch football but even this, was not a thig anymore . You can get better food for less in another place. I recived old tortillas heated up with some sprayed water (noticeable by no flavor and really crispy edges) , i think it’s because they think I am tourist, I do believe they will not try to offer this degusting stuff to Mexicans. The food was ok but expensive for the quality. Service is standing and talking after ten minutes I received the menu. There are a lot more better restaurants and just few worse. You can tell as the years go by that the waiters hate their work (have gotten lazier). A big group of Mexican clients will intimidate them so they’ll give their “best”. But as a solo diner, this year, sat at Los Almendros for 1.45 hour…. being totally ignored the whole time. The overcooked shrimp and the very tiny bit of rice & “salad” left me starving!!! Had to buy a vegan burger from a vendor who went by my table…because I never managed getting the waiters’ attention to order another dish -or pay the bill!! C'est le pire endroit pour manger à Zipolite. D'ailleurs j'ai subi la discrimination pour n'avoir pas un accent très marqué lorsque je parle en espagnol, pour n'être blonde. Le jour de mon anniversaire je suis allé là pour manger, il y avait que trois personnes, après des touristes sont arrivés et le service immédiatement les a fourni ses aliments, alors j'ai attendu pendant 45 minutes.

Lorsque j'ai demandé au serveur pour mon service, dans la cuisine ont commencé le faire, 45 minutes !!! Au 50 minutes j'ai annulé tout et j'ai sollicité l'addition de la carafe d'eau que c'est la seule chose que m'ont servi.

Le serveur une personne avec une attitude assez épouvantable m'a menacé de ne rentrer pas où il me tuera.

Je suis allé manger alors dans un autre endroit mais tout le monde a commencé voir leurs portables et me signaler sans aucune discrétion.

En plus, après cette mauvais expérience, j'ai commencé être harcelé par les individus qui commerce et vendent de l'herbe, dans chaque lieu que j'y vais, j'avais comme une ombre ceux types et je ne sais pas si le serveur les a prévenu et demander de m'harceler.

Une expérience terrible. Je vous préviens de n'aller là-bas manger.

En plus, bien que vous êtes étranger si vous ne parlez pas avec un accent très marqué, si vous n'êtes pas blondes avec les yeux clairs, ils peuvent vous confondre et ne vous donner pas le service, ou vous discriminer...
