Hi itâs Christina from The Christina Report, today I am giving feedback about my stay at Caribbean boutique. I stood at this boutique from 8/8/2023-8/15/2023. I have to be honest after reading the reviews I was pretty skeptical. Because Iâve already committed to this trip there was no backing out. Let me be the first to tell you this is not a bad place to stay. It has a 3 stars but itâs more like a high 3. If I am being honest there were a few things I could point out, like the pool- it wasnât maintained and no one was there to give you any towels. Thereâs a big ring around the pool, a simple magic eraser around it would have done wonders. The deck area needed some tlc. There is a bar area by the pool but no one is there, so definitely a missed opportunity. Although it says closed at 10pm you could stay in as long as you want!! No one cares! The shower heads needed to be soaked with vinegar to unclog them, the water was shooting out everywhere. However the water pressure was good. In the back by the parking there is a âpondâ where their Buddha is but it was very dirty, no up keep at all. If there is a problem with the room or anything they notify maintenance, which could get annoying after a while. I told them the batteries needed to be switched instead of switching it they called maintenance. I came back into my room and twenty mins after using the remote it was dead. A simple switch out of the batteries would of solved it, so that was annoying! I ended up just switching the batteries out of the TV remote control. The rooms are really small, and I am assuming if you do not get the master suite there arenât any chairs to sit on the balcony. On some photos you will be brown pillows and a throw blanket. Thatâs false no of the rooms have that. There is no canopy, or chair to sit on in the room. The âfridgeâ in their words is supposed to keep things fresh but really itâs just storage. So donât buy anything you need to keep cold or even cool. Definitely no fruit. The hotel doesnât offer an ice maker, so all of your drinks will be warm. You can buy a bag of ice down the street for $3usd but itâll just melt. The shampoo and conditioner has a rosemary and mint inside of it. They also have a body wash, but I honestly think they use the same thing for shampoo. They do however provide a bar of soap to wash your hands. The bathroom also has a nasty smell to it everyday. Which when you get your room serviced itâll go away. Oh and the elevator doesnât work so good luck with your luggage! The stairs are wide then narrow. A real pain in the rear! |For the pros now- itâs a great bang for your buck! I paid 1350 for the week with flight and hotel included- jet blue not spirit( I was able to pick my seats and bring a carry on) so the price is not bad at all! The hotel is in the heart of the strip!!! Which is a huge plus! As soon as you walk out of the hotel, you can turn left then right at the corner(10 steps away) you are in the heart of Playa del Carmen! All the bars and restaurants you desire! Bar loco has the cheapest food & drinks! If you check my other reviews you do want to stay away from a few places! The beach is a few blocks down, maybe a 5 minute walk! All you have to do is make the left out of the hotel and walk down! You will see it in the distance! I do recommend you walk past where the Hilton is set up because for 1 they have a lot of coral and thereâs big rocks, on the side where the Wyndham is thereâs no please to enjoy the beach because of the amount of rocks. So stick to the left side. Walk past Hilton keep going until you past the Grand Hyatt , which I would never stay at again, 5 star hotel and is beautiful donât misquote me. They will DRAIN YOU!!!!! Nothing is included water, nothing I ended up with a $500 bill for just soda, Oreos and Pringles! High way robbery! |Back to the beach! Once you past the area where you see the red umbrellas, you will see nothing but the beautiful beach and places to relax and take in some sun! I recommend getting a beach blanket and a small umbrella. We didnât bring a cooler but pack a cooler bag so you could have cold drinks! Because thereâs no one selling cold drinks on the beach. They are selling bracelets for $10 a piece but I bargained 5 for $20 usd. The mangoes are $10 yup $10 USD. I declined that! They also offer parasailing you can talk them down to $100 for 2 people for 30 mins! Donât let them swindle you! Back to the hotel, I got carried away there. The rooms have towels, fresh towels everyday! Do not Let the reviews fool you! They change your sheets every three days unless you ask otherwise. Put your valuables in a safe! Like you always should. Nothing went missing in my room! So donât believe that. If you want peace and quiet do not get a hotel on 5th Ave because they party till 2-3 in the am! But they do offer ear plugs at reception. The tv is a decent size bring your fire stick. Although nothing but Netflix will play. The walls areâŠâŠ. Authentic to say the least but it doesnât look tooo bad. They offer free breakfast from 7-11:15 donât be late! Itâs just a few pieces of fruit, eggs and toast. Coffee and or orange juice. They also have a Chocolate spot in the hotel the prices are pretty reasonable.| I got a basic pedicure done, because I didnât need my heels scraped just my nails polished and cuticles cut and pushed back I paid $25usd for my daughter and I!! So that was a great deal! They also offer 30-45 mins massages for $30usd. The Mega supermarket is to your right if youâre leaving the hotel and that about a 6 minute walk. So everything you need in the vicinity So my rating is definitely a high 3, if you need to budget your vacation this is the place to go!!! I recommend it!!! - Christina Out ! Check me out on YouTube!    Read moreI felt right at home from the moment I booked my flight and from the moment I left the hotel. Prior to landing in Mexico I contacted the hotel and told them that I needed a ride and they accommodate me. I barely spoken Spanish but the receptionist and the entire staff is amazing. There were minor complication but it wasnât enough to take away from the charm of the hotel. I would like to give a shout out to CARLOS, Madeline was amazing!! I had the best receptionist she made sure everything I needed was right there in front of me whether it was getting to a location or getting information how to get to a location she pointed me the best restaurant she made sure that I attended all my resort and unfortunately I did forget her name but she was the beautiful blonde hair Woman at the front desk who greeted me every morning with a smile.I Do you have to say the the image of the pool in the site is a little misleading, I excited I did try to go and relax by the pool in the hotel a few times it was taken by the guess that was staying on that floor itâs almost as if the family with kids took over that area for the whole four days that I was there Which didnât seem fair because I actually wanted to take pictures in that area and pay to be able to stay there just like they did but each time when I went to try to go to the pool they had all the belongings on every chair even though they werenât using it. Overall the staff was amazing the location I felt was great everything that I needed was nearby. The beach was in walking distance the money exchange was in walking distant the mall was across the street the music was amazing the food was directly downstairs from me I feel safe the police station was not far everything I needed was there if your foreigner such as myself this place is perfect I think a lot of people are having a hard time because either they live in new US where every resource is basically âperfectâ here but when you travel to another country please be mindful that things are different, things work different so this is a actually perfect review I know someone left a review saying be mindful of perfect reviews I promise you all will have a good time if you are open minded when you travel elsewhere because everywhere is different â€ïž. CRĂEME NO RESERVES AQUĂ||||Mi estadĂa fue del 13 al 18 de Junio del 2025||||Por un momento pensĂ© que habĂa encontrado un muy buen hotel, al llegar vi que las habitaciones no estaban en las mejores condiciones pero eran lindas y estaban habitables⊠a pesar de ser un poco viejas o malteadas y las paredes algo sucias⊠todo marchaba bien hasta el una noche al volver de cenar al abrir mi puerta me di cuenta de que estaba cerrada por dentro, pedĂ ayuda a recepciĂłn, fue el muchacho de recepciĂłn y trato de abrir y no pudo⊠solo me dijo que no pudo y que solo podĂa dejar una nota para que al dĂa siguiente despuĂ©s de las 9am mantenimiento intentara abrir mi cuarto, yo le comentĂ© que mi dinero, medicamento y todas mi pertenencias estaban adentro y que las necesitaba, aparte tenĂa un tour a ChichĂ©n Itza al dĂa siguiente a las 7am, que si no podrĂa hablarle a alguien para que fuera al hotel a resolverlo y dijo que no que lo mĂĄximo que podrĂa hacer era darnos otra habitaciĂłn y que tendrĂamos que esperar hasta la hora que mantenimiento pudiera abrir nuestro cuarto al dĂa siguienteâŠ||Nos dieron una habitaciĂłn muy reducida sin los mismos servicios que yo paguĂ© (Suite con Jacuzzi) para pasar la noche lo cual no se me hace justo porque yo paguĂ© por algo y me dieron algo menor||Y al dĂa siguiente marquĂ© a las 8 para ver si por casualidad habĂan adelantado el servicio y habĂan abierto mi cuarto, ya que cualquier hotel hubiera hecho eso⊠y el muchacho de recepciĂłn muy molesto me dijo que NO! Que ya me habĂa dicho que serĂa despuĂ©s de las 9am que no podĂa hacer mĂĄsâŠ||PERDĂ EL DINERO (2400 pesos) QUE INVERTĂ EN MI TOUR PARA DOS PERSONAS ya que lo perdĂ al no tener acceso a mi cuarto y lo Ășnico que dijeron fue âDisculpaâ no nos ofrecieron ningĂșn reembolso para conversar las pĂ©rdidas monetarias que tuvimos por su ineptitud y su lento accionar, ni por la noche que no nos dieron los servicios por los que pagamos||||Al ir a nuestro cuarto ya abierto nos dimos cuenta que la chapa del cuarto no servĂa, ya que no leĂa la tarjeta y tampoco habĂa electricidad en el cuarto al ingresar la tarjeta⊠la chapa habĂa dejado de funcionar desde el dĂa anterior que el chico de recepciĂłn intentĂł varias veces a abrir el cuarto, yo pensĂ© que se habĂa blockeado⊠bajĂł nuevamente a recepciĂłn âactivan la tarjetaâ vuelvo y sigue sin servir, van y cambian las pilas desde la chapa y tampoco sirve⊠asĂ que tuve subir y bajar escaleras varias veces⊠al no tener luz no tenĂamos aire acondicionado asĂ que estĂĄbamos con ventanas y puerta abierta ya que la humedad era insoportable, despuĂ©s una corriente desde aire cerrĂł la puerta muy fuertemente y ahora si una trabajadora del hotel rĂĄpidamente fue a nuestro cuarto a decirnos que Ăbamos a pagar la chapa ya que por âaventarâ la puerta nosotros habĂamos descompuesto la chapa, cuando fue el viento⊠que querĂa? Que estuviĂ©ramos sudando y deshidratĂĄndonos en el calor? ||Me moleste y fui a recepciĂłn a comentarle al encargado de ese turno y solo me dice nuevamente que me pide una disculpaâŠ||||Al final mis perdidas fueron de dos dĂas de servicio mĂĄs el tour⊠y sin recibir compensaciĂłn algunaâŠ||||Y la cereza del pastel fue que el dĂa que me iba a retirar el hotel a las 4-5 am aproximadamente tocan mi puerta fuertemente⊠era mi vecina de cuarto (318) muy molesta⊠fue a prevenirme y avisarme que revisara mis pertenencias y mi dinero ya que le habĂan robado dinero de su caja de seguridad!!!!||||AsĂ que ten mucho cuidado y piensa antes de reservar||||Mi habitaciĂłn era la 319||||DON'T STAY HERE!! BELIEVE ME, DON'T BOOK HERE||||My stay was from June 13 to 18, 2025||||For a moment I thought I had found a very good hotel, when I arrived I saw that the rooms were not in the best condition but they were nice and were habitable... despite being a little old or malted and the walls a little dirty... everything was going well until one night when I came back from dinner when I opened my door I realized that it was closed inside, I asked the reception for help, it was the reception boy and he tried to open and he couldn't... he just told me that he couldn't and that he could only leave a note so that the day Next after 9am maintenance will try to open my room, I told him that my money, medicine and all my belongings were inside and that I needed them, besides I had a tour to ChichĂ©n Itza the next day at 7am, that if not I could talk to someone to go to the hotel to solve it and he said no that the most he could do was to give us another room and that we would have to wait until the time that maintenance could open our room the next day...||||They gave us a very small room without the same services that I paid for (Suite with Jacuzzi) to spend the night which is not fair to me because I paid for something and they gave me something less||||And the next day I dialed at 8 to see if by chance they had advanced the service and had opened my room, since any hotel would have done that... and the very upset reception boy told me NO! That he had already told me that it would be after 9am that I couldn't do more...||||I LOST THE MONEY (2400 pesos) THAT I INVESTED IN MY TOUR FOR TWO PEOPLE since I lost it when I didn't have access to my room and the only thing they said was "Sorry" they didn't offer us any refund to talk about the monetary losses we had for their ineptitude and their slow action, nor for the night they didn't give us the services for which we paid||||When we went to our already open room we realized that the sheet metal in the room was useless, since it did not read the card and there was no electricity in the room when entering the card... the plate had stopped working since the day before the reception guy tried several times to open the room, I thought it had been blocked... it went down again to reception "they activate the card" I come back and it still does not serve, they go and change the batteries from the plate and it doesn't work either... so I had to go up and down stairs several times... since we didn't have electricity we didn't have Air conditioning so we were with windows and door open since the humidity was unbearable, then a current from the air closed the door very strongly and now if a hotel worker quickly went to our room to tell us that we were going to pay for the sheet metal since by "throwing" the door we had broken down the sheet metal, when was the wind... what did she want? That we were sweating and dehydrating ourselves in the heat?||||I got annoyed and went to reception to tell the person in charge of that shift and he just tells me again that he apologizes to me...||||In the end my losses were two days of service plus the tour... and without receiving any compensation...||||And the icing on the cake was that the day I was going to leave the hotel at approximately 4-5 am they knocked on my door loudly... it was my roommate (318) very annoying... she went to warn me and tell me to check my belongings and my money since they had stolen money from her safe!!!!||||So be very careful and think before booking||||My...
