Bloody Mary - Rock & Sport Bar — Restaurant in Playa del Carmen

I honestly never complain but whoever owns this place needs to know. I’d give this zero stars if I could.

We stopped in for a quick drink before taking the bus.

1. No one would seat us, the bar was empty with 5+ employees.
2. They made us the wrong drink (gave us margaritas when we wanted Palomas.
3. We couldn’t get anyone to bring us the check for the life of us. Over 5 staff members and they wouldn’t even look at us. Half of them were chatting seated at a table, the other half chatting behind the bar.
4. We give her cash for the bill and she asked us if it was “complete”. I said no that we wanted to the change back so we could decide the tip. She legit just turned around and never gave us our change. We were so mad at this point we just left.

Don’t go here. Literally zero redeeming qualities. Also it’s mad expensive for no reason. A regular drink for over 15$ CAD. Way too expensive...

This one was a little difficult for me... Bloody Mary was tasty. The food on the other hand, was a major let down. I ordered the fish and chips, and it was so greasy I couldn't stomach more than one piece of fish. A friend later joined me and got some tacos, I had one (because I was still hungry) they were better, but just mediocre at best. The servers were friendly. And they often have live music. I think I would recommend this bar as a nice place to listen to live music and have a beer. But I would not recommend...

Went to this live music venue on Calle Quinta in Playa del Carmen and my ears are still ringing... in the best way possible. The bands were so good they almost made me forget where I was. Almost. Food was surprisingly decent, though I was too busy headbanging to remember to take a picture. Drinks were strong enough to make me believe I could sing along without sounding like a dying cat.
