8 of us went this restaurant for dinner a few days ago. Food was decent. Service was great but there was one major problem with our experience. 7 of us got our food first and it took 1 more hour for the last person to get any of his food. We were pretty upset and wanted to leave but the waitress kept insisting the food is coming soon. We were hoping we do not have to pay for the meal we got so late but they charged us for everything even though they knew we were not happy for the fact one of us got the food 1 hour late.
I understand they were busy. However the last person who got the food 1 hour late ordered the same food as everyone else. I am not sure what happened in the kitchen.
I understand things can happen and our experience might not reflect other people’s experience. However we were disappointed that they did nothing do keep us happy when they knew we waited so long. (We told them we wanted to leave before the last food came out but they kept us waiting and charged us for everything.).
Our dining experience was far from perfect. I wanted to be fair with how many stars I give them. 2/5 star reflects our experience.
Things can happen. Everyone can make a mistake. We were disappointed that the restaurant did not put our experience their top priority. They were just focused on delivering food. Delivering food to an angry customer has no meaning.
There is definitely a room for improvement and we would like to come back because food was great and waitresses were friendly. I am leaving this review because I want the restaurant to hear the customer to improve their...
Read moreOur lunch started out okay, but by the end of the meal we completely regretted coming here. The food was fair - it was priced for tourists, and the portions were very meager. The shrimp cilantro tacos were awful as they had a heavy sauce that was not in the description on the menu. The serious difficulty began when we attempted to pay the bill - our bill was $895.50 (pesos) - we had cash, and asked our server to break a $500.00 peso note and she went to talk to her manager and her refused to break it! We then asked for him to break a $200.00 peso note (about $25.00 U.S.), and again her refused! We just wanted to get money to tip our waitress! We then decided to pay with our credit card and watched as our server rang the card multiple times and didn't seem to understand how to work it and showed us the screen in Spanish only. We then became extremely uncomfortable and my husband decided to get his card back and just pay cash, but despite multiple requests to return the card, both the server and the manager completely ignored him and ran the card through regardless. For what we paid - $40.00 U.S., we got a few lousy tacos and some shifty treatment - avoid this place...
Read moreThis was our last meal in Mexico and we wanted to treat ourselves. However it was a massive disappointment. No one explained to us how big the portions were so we ordered far too much and didn’t enjoy the majority of it. The crispy squids were not crispy and tasted of vinegar. The rock and roll shrimp were extremely soggy. The tuna shiquita tostadas were okay but we wouldn’t order again. The chilli shrimp tacos were also fine but not as good as other places we’ve been to in Mexico. Added the that the drinks were not good at all. The real problem happened when we requested the bill. We paid the total amount on our cards and the tip in cash (tip was discretionary). We paid a $6 tip with a total bill of $68. We were then told our 10% tip was not sufficient and we needed to pay $8 instead. Our waitress got exceedingly upset with us and stormed off after hassling us about not providing enough of a tip. We were really excited about this meal and experience but unfortunately it didn’t live up to all...
