When my husband and I chose Tulum for our destination wedding location, we wanted to of course find the perfection venue to both vacation at and host our nuptials. We traveled with a group of 18 friends and family members, and Casa Jalach turned out to be a really excellent choice. The house has a very open air boho feel to it, with close proximity to the pool and rocky cliffs overlooking the ocean. A short path leads you from the backyard to a larger shared sandy beach as well. One of the best features was its location in a very walkable and bustling area of Tulum. We enjoyed Mateo's across the street all week long, and so many restaurants along the strip, along with some clubs!
Matthias, our concierge, stayed in touch with us for nearly a year of our planning, helping us coordinate with the chef, a DJ, and transportation, and he was easy to reach for help whenever we needed during our stay. While some planning happened last minute once we got there, everything eventually fell into place. Casa Jalach was a beautiful venue for photos and hosting the traditional Mayan ceremony on our big day, and overall it was a very relaxed setting. Would highly recommend for group trips and going in with a fun and chill attitude to make the most of it! Also don't miss the Temazcal ceremony--a truly...
Read moreDo NOT rent this place! Advertising greatly misrepresents the property. If you notice all reviews are OLD. We were there with a family of 17 in May 2025. A.C. only in bedrooms (which worked well). Nice pool. However, Kitchen was a bacteria trap. A piece of counter by the stove could be lifted completely out and Aughhhh! Sink pulling out from the wall. Multiple pieces of broken glass in the sand by the pool, No keys to bedrooms which were open to people walking through from properties up the beach, (No back wall or door), NO sofas, NO place to (comfortably) gather except one table and wood chairs. Holes in the wood floor, which we covered with planters, one plank broke through from second floor, which they had to come and replace, exposed wiring and rusty pipes. It took two days to get a toilet seat where one was missing. Never got a toilet seat for the bathroom by the pool. The ladder down to the water had broken steps and couldn't be used. Despite heath and safety issues, VRBO was of NO help. Took three days to turn down our request for help. Even the owner's hired help were embarrassed about the condition of the property. It might have been a hostel at one time, but certainly not one you'd want your...
Read moreCan’t say enough good things about Casa Jalach. From the moment we arrived and even beforehand, Eziekiel and Chriss were the best. They made sure we got to the property correctly and were amazing. We were a large group and still, we were able to contact them at any time of the day/night and one of them would be willing to answer any questions we had or even went out and got us groceries, at the house right away. As for the house itself, it was amazing. I loved how each room had a separate entrance and lock, and the place has ample rooms to sleep in to accommodate all of the guests. Relaxing pool and tons of places within the house to hang and relax. If you’re thinking about booking, book Casa Jalach! The hospitality...
