Cute boutique hotel. We chose the room with sea view and it overlooks the small pool platform. Ocean view/wave sounds are wonderful to fall asleep to. Beds/rooms clean and attended to daily. Fridge in room was a life saver. Gated entry. Kitchen available if you desire cooking. Free bottled water onsite with refillable jug for your room. Kind and responsive staff (often not onsite visibly but usually text back via what’s app promptly to address questions/needs). No beach access directly. Beaches are “public” here meaning you can swim wherever you like, but if you want to sit on a chair (even at the hotel next door where they have “an agreement”) you will have to pay for the chair or purchase food/drink minimums there. Shower pressure was quite abysmal. Plenty of storage areas for unpacking. Good a/c, WiFi is inconsistent but mostly available. Common spaces available for eating/working/realaxing. Even some cards and a board game avail for common use. All in all, would stay again, especially for the price point!

I chose Hotel Tropicalito Tulum because I only had two full days in Tulum and I wanted to be beach side, and without children around me. 😝 Hotel Tropicalito Tulum is a hidden gem. It’s brand new and Ivo and Luis are constantly making improvements. The rooms are very clean and the honey shampoo and shower wash add a premium bathing feeling. The standout features are the rooftop pool (great for taking your Instagram pics, and the private beach. If you have jetlag like I did, wake up at sunrise and see this amazing view (look at the pic). A very private and quiet moment! 😃 There’s a lot of dining, clubbing and coffee options within walking distance, and Ivo can help you with restaurant recommendations and even bike hire. Anything you need, there's 24-hour WhatsApp service. It was concierge plus plus plus! This is a small business and on a personal note, I want to wish the owners much success with their new (ad)venture! I would definitely stay here again when I return to Tulum!

Simple rooms, but amazing view and great location. We happened to be there in rainy period, so the room was quite damp and very basic. But great customer service and stunning view makes it up. Sleep quality depends on other guests, we had very quiet and peaceful sleep on 2 out of 4 nights.

BEWARE! For the money, you can do much better in Tulum. We learned the hard way. We checked into our suite and immediately realized it was not as promoted online. Tub on the balcony was full of cold water and no way to drain it. There was a faucet there so we went to add hot water and there was no hot water. Tried running the indoor shower for more than 10 minutes and no hot water. Contacted management and they said to wait and try again. We waited and tried again and still no hot water. The next morning went to shower and no pressure and no hot water. Missed a tour because of all of this and decided to check out a day early. We were told "We are in Tulum a city at the jungle, and somethings like hot water and pressure are difficult." - Well, sorry this not acceptable at a hotel we were paying $215/night. So far they have refused to refund us. So many, much better hotels in Tulum. Waited 15 hours for them to come to the room and address the issue. This is not customer service. Do yourself a favor, DO NOT BOOK...
