Ciel Rose Sunset Bar — Restaurant in Tulum

If you are looking for a place that is peaceful, relaxing, where you can watch the sunset this is the place. Not only will you see the sun set over a canopy of trees but a few minutes after the sun sets, the moon rises on the opposite side of the roof top. If you’re lucky you will have the roof all to yourself which was the best experience I have had in Tulum thus far. Be prepared, once the sun sets the mosquitos come out and they are vicious, but fear not, Miguel our bartender came to the rescue with all kinds of mosquito repellants and smoke to deter the mosquitos and gave us a heads up that in a few minutes the mosquitos will leave and the moon will rise. The service we were provided was exceptional. Miguel and Monica were extremely attentive and lovely to talk to, the drinks were great and food delicious. I want to thank Antoine, Angela and Miguel they were wonderful. I loved this place so much I came back 3 days in a row. The first time we enjoyed the beautiful sunset, with shisha and tamarindo margaritas. The shisha is limited on flavors they seem to use Al Fakher and quick lights, but it was hitting pretty smooth! I ordered the tamarindo margarita and it was sooo good—my favorite drink plus tequila can’t get any better. The second night we showed up a little late but they were nice enough to let us have a round of shisha. The third time we ordered food and I wish we knew how good there food was, we would have ate here our entire stay. We tried their octopus tacos and aguachiles—there was a party in my mouth. We stumbled upon this amazing sunset bar and ended up coming back a few times during our trip! The drinks are really great, and the view is absolutely perfect for sunset — just jungle, a few buildings, and endless sky. We haven’t tried the food yet, so I can’t comment on that, but definitely go for the atmosphere alone. When you arrive, walk to the back of the building and keep following the path until you find a pink concrete building — take the stairs up about 4–5 flights.
