Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Invasion of Privacy, Verbal Abuse, and Unacceptable Treatment
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding a deeply disturbing incident that occurred during my recent stay at your property, Golden Beach Apartment Agadir, booked under my name for the night of [05/08 to 06/08 2025], with a payment of 1800 MAD.
Upon arrival after a long day of travel, I was physically and mentally exhausted and proceeded directly to take a shower. Shortly after, I was violently interrupted by repeated banging on the door — not ordinary knocking, but the kind that resembled police force entry. I asked who it was and was told it was hotel staff.
Despite explaining I was in the shower and asking for just 15 minutes to finish and get dressed, I was met with aggression, threats to forcibly enter the apartment, and unacceptable shouting through the door. I had to exit the shower with only a towel around my waist to understand what was happening.
To my shock, I was accused of hosting multiple people in the apartment — an accusation that is false, unfounded, and humiliating. I clearly stated that only two people were in the flat and was ready to provide identification once I was properly dressed. Instead of giving me a moment of dignity, your staff continued harassing me, accusing me of lying about the room phone not working (which it truly wasn’t), and refusing to believe or verify the facts calmly.
The situation escalated to the point where my towel fell off in front of multiple people, leaving me naked and exposed, which I consider a serious violation of my privacy and dignity. This moment was humiliating and has left a lasting psychological impact.
I am therefore demanding the following:
A formal written apology from hotel management for the mistreatment, verbal aggression, and invasion of privacy I endured. A refund of the full amount paid: 1800 MAD, as the experience provided was not only below professional standards but was traumatic. A clear explanation of your internal protocol: under what policy does your staff threaten to open doors while guests are in the shower without prior notice or written communication? Immediate assurance that corrective actions will be taken, and staff involved will receive the necessary training on respectful communication and guest rights.
If I do not receive a satisfactory response within 7 days, I will not hesitate to:
File a complaint with the Moroccan Ministry of Tourism Submit a negative review on all booking platforms with a detailed account of this traumatic event Seek legal consultation for the invasion of privacy and psychological harm caused.
I sincerely hope you will treat this matter with the seriousness it deserves.
Sincerely,
Guest : Z...
Read moreAVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COSTS!! We are four young women travelling together, and our experience at this hotel was genuinely terrifying and traumatic.
A hotel receptionist brought an angry taxi driver to our hotel room door, claiming we had underpaid him, which we hadn’t. This is a huge violation of guest safety and privacy. We were left shocked, frightened, and completely exposed as the hotel had put us in danger.
When we reported it to the manager the following day, instead of helping, he flipped the situation on us. He defended his colleague, accused us of lying, and refused to check the cameras, even though we told him we had seen it with our own eyes. He kept saying the receptionist “only went by himself,” which we knew was false.
We asked to change rooms that day to feel safer, and were told, “Maybe tomorrow.” We never got moved. They made it very clear that our safety was not a priority.
The previous evening, when we confronted the receptionist, he aggressively told us to “shut up, shut up, and go back to your rooms.” We told the manager, who again denied it ever happened, saying “he’s a nice guy.” Luckily, we caught it on video, and when we showed it to the manager, he laughed and didn’t say a word. No apology. No accountability. Just silence.
Then came the most frightening part: the manager told us that the police were looking for us because the taxi driver made a complaint. As four young tourists, this absolutely terrified us. We went to ask him more about it, worried we might need to go to the station to clear our names and after seeking advice from the British embassy over the phone, only for him to casually say, “Don’t worry, he was just lying.” We were scared sick, and they took it as a joke.
From start to finish, we were gaslit, disrespected, and treated like the problem, even though we had done nothing wrong. We had already paid the taxi driver, who was clearly trying to scam us for more money, and the hotel enabled him by giving him direct access to our room.
And if the safety issues weren’t enough, the hotel was filthy. We literally watched the cleaners: • Flip dirty pillowcases over to hide stains rather than replace them • Leave pee-stained sheets on the bed • Change only part of the bedding - sometimes just the bottom sheet, sometimes just the duvet
We had to beg repeatedly for fresh sheets, and even then, it was inconsistent and careless.
This hotel is dangerous, dirty, and completely unprofessional. The staff and management do not care about your safety. In fact, they will gaslight and blame you for things you didn’t do. We would never recommend this place to anyone. It’s genuinely safer to sleep on the streets than to stay here.
