Hôtel Jibal Chaouen - Café, Restaurant & Pizzeria — Hotel in Chefchaouen

I don’t understand why this place receives so many positive reviews. I didn’t expect much knowing it is part of the tour package even though ours was a private one but first view when we stepped in the room was a big patch of mold from the back of the shower faucet. Ok fine it was in the front “living room” and we were only in the bedroom section for only 1 night. But at around 4:00-ish, the rooster started to go off non stop, then at around 6:00 came the early morning prayer on loud speaker. Due to the far distance of this hotel, we didn’t get home until late and because of all the these reasons, I highly do not recommend this place. Not even the friendly staff can make up...

10 friends and I found this little gem recommended by a local to spend 2 nights. Fabulous views over the town, staff so helpful, food good and varied. Rooms were spotless and decorated to a high standard. Any requests from the group were met with a smile and action!! From the owner and manager down to the waiters and chambermaids greeted us with smiles and social interaction . Nothing is too much trouble for them. A short walk to the waterfall and then a pleasant downward walk into the town where the main square and shops are situated. A definite 2nd and even 3rd visit...

We stayed here for 1 night, location is ok its around 20mins by walk from the blue city, the walk is quite easy with lights in the street. Our room was ok but the sofa room was quite ugly. Staff was friendly and helpful with our luggage since our room was in the third story with NO lift at all. The outside area is very sliperry and getting the luggage up the rump was very difficult and dangerous. A friend of ours who was with us saw a rat in his room in the morning!
