I recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in a hostel in Marrakech!! I literally cannot fault it, I had an amazing time! Compared with hostel prices in Europe this hostel is cheap, but don’t be fooled, it is so much nicer than most hostels in Europe and it is amazing value for money, it feels way more expensive when The design is very nice and the bathrooms are very new and very clean, there is 2 bathrooms (with toilet, sink and shower) on each floor, so 2 bathrooms for 8 people which is better than a lot of European hostels! The 2-tiered roof terrace is a lovely place to have breakfast, meet new people, or do work/study (the Wi-Fi is great and I used it to download shows for the plane easily!). are there! The hostel has recently had a new manager with renovations done in the summer this year so I think some reviews from a while ago are irrelevant. Youssef, the manager, is more like a friend, he is so so kind and one of the most helpful hostel/hotel workers I’ve met anywhere in the world, just simply such a lovely and genuine guy. No problem too big or too small. My flight was early morning and Youssef said I could leave my bag in his office but because there was no one staying in my bed, he let me check in early and showed me to my bed space. Youssef is available 24/7 via WhatsApp so he may not be at the hostel all the time but you can ring him at anytime and he will come quickly to help you with whatever you need. On my first day, I didn’t buy a SIM card or buy any dirhams at the airport as it was expensive and when I got to the hostel, Youssef told me where places to get both things were nearby. He helped me print my boarding pass for my flight for 5 dirhams (40 pence) (be aware you need to print it for flying out of Morocco otherwise you have to pay €20 at airport). He also helped me book a day trip online, helping me to avoid being scammed or paying too much. His English was also the best of anyone I met whilst in Morocco which helped communication a lot! Just message/call him if you need directions! The hostel itself is stunning! It has everything you need and the cleaning lady, Amina, keeps everything spotlessly clean, cleaning the rooms and bathrooms everyday! The design is very nice and the bathrooms are very new and very clean, there are 2 bathrooms (with toilet, sink and shower) on each floor, so 2 bathrooms for 8 people which is better than a lot of European hostels! The 2-tiered roof terrace is a lovely place to have breakfast, meet new people, or do work/study (the Wi-Fi is great and I used it to download shows for the plane easily!). Admittedly, I have stayed here in October so the hostel wasn’t very busy, but in my room there was only 6 beds and it is a big room so you have loads of space! Each bed space comes with an individual light, a socket and a private big wooden chest to lock your things in so your stuff is very safe. The hostel also provides a padlock and key for your locker which is very handy. The breakfast was delicious and certainly enough to keep you going until lunch! It consists of bread, butter and jam, a flatbread, a hard boiled egg, cheese, Moroccan tea, and small coffee and hot milk and it is served between 8:30-10:30 which is great if you want a bit of a lie in! The location is great and I found it to be safe, even walking back from the square alone at night (bearing in mind I’m a guy and male privilege is unfortunately a thing, so I can only talk from my perspective). In the medina in Marrakech, no matter where you stay, sometimes people will wait nearby during the day/ early evening and try and show you to your hotel/hostel and ask you for money. I only had this happen once or twice and you just need to say no thank you and it’s fine. The hostel is a 15-25 min walk to the Souks (markets) or Jna el faa (the main square), depending on how fast you walk and if you stop to look at things. I had the best time ever, thank you again to Youssef and Amina! Sorry this is wordy but I hope this helps someone choose this hostel and have a great stay here :))

It's Clean and new. Have 4 toilets/shower. Good enough to serve ppl stay there. Hot shower wtf good pressure. AC room with blanket provided. Big box to store luggage with lock provided. 13 mins walk to airport bus terminal (L19, 30 DH only, €3). Breakfast included. 25 mins walk to YSL museum. 4 bed female dorm us spacious. Can fit 6 bunk bed actually. There is no sign at the door. But they will leave the door open. Listen the beep sound and just push the door. The number is 10 for the door. They said us complicated to apply a sign and someone will fine them if out the sign outside. Highly recommend for this budget option.

The place I will go back to whenever I'm in marrakesh I stayed in the boussouni hostel for 4 nights from 1-5 October, the first 3 nights with my friend and the last night alone in the female dorm. It was my first time trying hostels and it won't be the last. Youssef is such a cool guy, he was super helpful. The breakfast was great and delicious, the rooftop was amazing by night, the place is sooo calm and it has air conditioner and soooo clean, the bathrooms as well. Everything was perfect, I recommend it to everyone and it is close to most of the places in Marrakech.

Youssef is working really hard to make this new hostel a success. He is a friendly, courteous and helpful person in every possible way. He helped me book tours, gave me info about the city, and even brought me medicine when I was unfortunate to spend the whole of the last day of my trip unwell.

I stayed in the 6 bed dorm and it is spacious and the beds are comfortable, with thick, warm blankets. The water is piping hot and the whole hostel is very clean.

Location is good too - just 10 mins from the bus station where you can catch the bus to the airport, and not far from the centre of the medina. On a narrow side street meaning none of the noise of the main street reaches the hostel.

100% recommend you stay here and I hope the hostel continues growing and being more and...

Very comfortable bed - liked the big lockers and the plug and light next to the bed. The host was very helpful. The breakfast was lovely too - it’s made fresh! Great location - just off the Main Street so safe for a solo traveller! However I didn’t feel like the security in the hostel was very good - the lock doesn’t lock properly and subsequently you can pull it open very easily, there’s then no key to the rooms making it feel a little unsafe! Also there is only one bathroom for 8 people downstairs and we ran out of loo roll in the morning, it wasn’t too clean either. But overall it’s a lovely hostel and I would recommend to a budget traveller - just be mindful of security and be prepared to wait for...
