I'm not sure of the name of the person who served us, but it was the friendliest encounter during our whole stay in Morocco. Just bought a couple of pieces of soap to start with at the rate advertised on the sign. He immediately gave an extra one to my 2 year old toddler as a gift.
It was 45 degrees Celsius that day and he invited us in to sit under the air con, and to let us smell and browse the goods. He played with my boy, fanned him down, and made us tea. We'd been there for at least 20 minutes.. we felt no pressure to buy anything but we ended up taking a small amount of something. He only charged 30 dirham despite giving us so much of his time and hospitality. We insisted that he took more - he was over the moon and quickly wrapped us up more of his goods...
Read moreI wanted to make some shopping in some smaller places, (because it's so many to choose from in Marakesh) but in Herboriste Secret I got the best range of products, the best price, the best service and no-one was forcing me to buy anything. The guys there know their job and they're good at it. Totally recommend! I bought things I didn't wanted too, but I found out that I have to buy them. It wasn't forced, but reasonably explained. I really appreciate it. My needs were taken into consideration and advised.

Jobe gave an entertaining and informative presentation of the products, showing how to discern imitation products (such as argon oil) from the real deal. He also helpfully provided us with local recommendations of places to see in Marakech. We left with plenty of tea and cinnamon. One thing to be aware of though: prices are not posted on the products. While they seemed reasonable and comparable to other herbalists, we suspect the rates differ on a costumer-by-a customer basis so it is worth trying...
